This Plane Breaks My Heart

Featured Replies

My achy breaky heart....

It's soooo gorgeous - it's basically the perfect bizjet - and then the AP goes into ROL mode and blows past my waypoint in the FPL.... 😒

And then it bounces all over at cruise....

And the ITT redlines under normal takeoff power....

Someone, anyone - has to be able to mod this thing!!

Let's hope for one of those teams like the one that adopted the A320 or the one working on the CJ4.  The big problem will be getting to the files in the Premium area.

Indeed.  Although I think I read a post at the main FS forums about a guy taking the CJ4 cfgs, editing that to reflect C700 data (based on AFM/POH I guess), and attempting to mod it that way.  I haven't heard much else.  A tiny part of me wonders if its locked for a legal reason...like Textron doesn't want users messing with their plane....  but I think its more of a DLC kinda issue.

Which is a hack. Unfortunately there are not many of these things flying, resulting in fewer pilots with actual experience to tweak the flight characteristics/model. Would have been easier with a P300 or Gulfstream etc.

As of January, 2020 more than 300 CJ4's have been delivered:

Jan 10, 2020 — With more than 300 CJ4s delivered since 2010, the model has another advantage in its shared heritage, a common single-pilot type rating with other CJs, with just two days of differences training required when moving up to the CJ4.

Yeah the other guy was but yes, the C700.  I actually just saw a nice one at work the either day.  They're neat planes.

Will we ever see these beautiful jets working properly?

Why don't they take 15 minutes to fix the planes people paid extra money for... Changing a CFG file isn't that hard

I feel the same way. WorkingTitle said their looking into it.  We all agree on the MS Forums they should finish this bird with a working HUD and complete cabin.  It's crazy the best bird in the sim is so neglected...

Yeah glad you mentioned the HUD - Asobo did that for the 787 but not for this one?  Grrrrr

I paid $120 to have at least one working GA jet. So far I'd say they failed to deliver in only that sense. I thought I could do at least a flight from start to finish with AP.

It’s actually sad that the “press any key”  command was the most requested to fix option over actual functional stock aircraft!

Especially since it might be awhile yet before we get any decent add-on ac from 3rd party Devs!

Agreed and ridiculous in a modern flight sim!

But hey at least the buildings in Japan look cool now!!!
