August 15, 20214 yr I rally love your add-on, but the hiccups when the ships are loading in kills the immersion, so I really look forward to when your add-on is 100% compatible with MSFS. August 15, 20214 yr Incredible work Henrik! Really hope the flightsim servers hold up once this is released 😆
August 15, 20214 yr Author That mod is great fun, it's using the models from Henrick's Global Ship package. I really wish there was a nice detailed interior cockpit to make it more realistic. August 15, 20214 yr What speed are these vessels generally moving at? Are they different eg high speed ferry, fishing trawler with lines in the water, cargo vessel? I was buzzing a couple of cargo vessels and went back to the first one for a final close flyby before heading to land but noticed the vessel seemed to have moved quite some distance upstream? They're certainly no slouch's 🙂 Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-10700 CPU @2.90Ghz, 32GB RAM, NVIDEA GeForce RTX 3060, 12GB VRAM, Samsung QN70A 4k 65inch TV with VRR 120Hz Free Sync (G-Sync Compatible). They're certainly no slouch's 🙂 Terry They move too fast.... I know... Generally most ship in the package sail at 25 knots - today a real containership would save fuel and slow steam at 10-14 knots. High speed ferries are programmed to go faster and small boats at 8-10 knots. The problem is in the AI engine which only allow larger ships passing each other without crashing into each other if on the same route if they go fast.... Alternative is a tremendous amount of routes and more mess. That said.... I just tested the new ships of New York.... Once I figured out I had forgotten a very basic thing in the file structure everything worked perfectly 😄 Ships are where they should be, they have the textures they should have, no stutters, no loading time, ships visible also in the distance,…It will be send for beta testing tomorrow. So this is how the Quick Fix will look like. No wakes and smoke yet, but that we can add once we have all ships converted so you all have ships all over again. PS... There will be 80+ ships in the first release occupying around 700Mb. Once those are released a new chunk will come weekly until we are done. But the process is much faster now.
August 15, 20214 yr Author My boat simulation dream within MSFS are finally coming true! Flying over oceans, shorelines, rivers, etc will be so much more immersive and full of life and activity soon! I'm extremely excited to see life being brought back into the oceans with this incredible addon! This will be even better with the boat control addon, now that there will be lots more ships around us for us to see. August 16, 20214 yr Does"Hard decks" mean we will be able to land on them ? If this is the case, will the ships move with the waves in windy conditions ? Will we be able to recreate something like this ?

Noooch, the ship is from the Danish Navy and it is included in the package 😄 It is a fantastic video - in P3D ships are rolling with the waves and you can land on them and especially this small one is fun. A fundamental principle in this project since the start has been that you should be able to land on ships where you could do so in real life. However, Asobo has not enabled neither the hard decks nor the rolling so far. Once they get to that we will implement it. We have approx 300 ships between navy ships and civilians which have hard decks in the previous versions.

This is a lighthouse ship located south east of England, in the Channel, can't remember his name but it could be found on the scenery map on.to. I don't know how he was able to bring this in MSFS. You should have a look!
