Almost unbelievable

A few days ago we flew from Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance to Zell am See in Austria. Today’s flight will bring us further south to Bolzano, a city in Northern Italy. That is in itself nothing special of course. The interesting part of it will be the area we are about to fly over: it’s the “Puez-Geisler Nature Park” (Italian: Parco Naturale Puez-Odle), which is a nature reserve in the Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. It’s one of the most spectacular mountain sites the Alps have to offer.

We take off from Zell am See

And here we are at the eastern entry to the park. What you have seen earlier, is part of default MSFS. This park scenery is a free add-on, MSFS is not as detailed with its lower mesh CJ4-19.jpg

Nice pics, showing the excellent depiction of the mountains in MSFS. Northern Italy is one of my most favorite places to fly.

Thanks for posting. Cheers, Ed

Many thanks, gents. As Ed said, Northern Italy is really a nice place to fly around.

Those mountains look amazing. I'm curious whether that is default or a more detailed mesh addon as I've yet to see mountains look that rugged in MSFS.

You are right, as I said in the middle of my post, this is a free add-on, as the MSFS mesh resolution is quite low. Maybe I should have said that at the beginning of my post instead.

The Dolomites, beautifully, brought to life....and, of course, getting there looks equally wonderful...(fantastic pics)...!!

Just stunning.
