November 24, 20205 yr Had a wonderful group flight with @cavaricooper and @Ron Attwood this evening. We took the outstanding Carbon Cub and just had a blast! Taxiing out..... Just after a really short takeoff roll (this thing begs you to fly when you push the throttle forward!) I'll be high in some of these shots and deemed the official photographer for the flight....I was the only one with a proper camera. 🙂 (The other guys may have snapped a shot or 2 with their phones, hehe) Heading out just off the coast...will follow the shoreline for a bit.... Cruising by the pier at Santa Barbara....hope a modder fixes it...it is a lovely place in real life! Got both @cavaricooper and @Ron Attwood between my struts. 😁 Beautiful sunset Stunning... Heading direct to Burbank now Between my.....well....you know. 😉 Pulled the formation in tight for this shot 🙂 Staying high as Carl approaches the threshold with Ron close behind... Time for me to gently drop down now... Safe on the ground....fantastic flight! I had many trips there in the past few years...mainly in the Duarte/Pasadena area....CA is beautiful no doubt. The ICAO I believe is coincidental for a Venezuelan reg...Believe it means SaVage Carbon cuB ....that area of the data tag is where the aircraft type goes...if we were in the Cessna's it would say C172 I believe. This is the one I fly most, and outside of a few here (and those who don't know without googling), I find it sad that a lot of people don't even know what "D-Day" (or "invasion stripes" ) are. I painted them on a model of a Typhoon back in my youth as the instructions in the kit told me too....had to pull out the Encyclopedia Britannica to see what they meant. 😉 @Ron Attwood, thanks! will check them out and turn them off in our next group flight when I start snapping pics! @P_7878 and @bernd1151 ...it was a blast, MSFS has made flying with your friends easier than any previous version, and not a single blip on performance!
