I am glad to see the fix. I'm sure everyone's working hard at digesting the issues & possible fixes - So incremental to me is sure alot better than having to wait 6-9 months or so for a big one.(ie:FS9.1)Good job & keep them coming ...:) I'll take them as I can get them.Regards'Garett

Remember to consider the glass "half full". This changes makes a world of difference to me. Hopefully the next one will matter to you.Best,Bob

The low hanging fruit analogy is spot on. Thats the way to do it.. If Multi core is the only thing they need to focus on and not work on anything else would mean... the time to respond is going to be so long piling on more negative vibes. What for? Keep throwing stuff out..as it gets fixed builds goodwill and it sure would shut most people up... Hope is eternal. We need hope...that all things would be fixed eventually. One by one.:)I am glad that they are doing this..inspite of the negative reaction from us folks... including myself.Manny

I don't believe it. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.Give em a break guys, as they say: "Every little helps".George

The patch wont run on my system. It says the existing terrain.dll in FSX is more current than the version that replaces it.

I have the same problem

>The patch wont run on my system. It says the existing>terrain.dll in FSX is more current than the version that>replaces it.You haven't changed the file at some point have you?

You're probably using the terrain.dll fix that is posted in the library. Go back to the original.Randall

Same here

Add my thanks also, Hal. Please continue to send us more patches when they are available. This one doesn't apply to me a this time, but I still welcome it. BTW, I'm happy with FSX even though I know there are many areas where it can be improved. For what it does at this time, it is good and provides me with lots of enjoyment. I went back to FS9 yesterday to install and try the VOZ ai package for Australia. Excellent AI package addon to VOZ which is itself a fantastic addon. In any case, wow what a difference between the feel of FSX and FS9. FSX feels more real and alive. I like it. One the major improvements I've noticed is the approach Aces and MS has towards FS developement. FSX demo's were very helpful as was (and is) the posting of info by Aces folks on forums and blogs. Without this sort of communication FSX would not be much fun. FSX out of the box isn't anything like it is now. There are many very talented flight simmers who have greatly helped improve FSX to a point where I can once again say - I like it. Aces has helped with it's open communications with our community via blogs and forums and that has added to improving FSX as I'm confident will comtinue. Many thanks to all who have helped in the developement of FSX from the good folks at Aces to the good folks in our FS community.Last but not least - many thanks to Avsim for providing this excellent FS site.

Indeed I was. But I think I have my answer anyway. Allcott

I installed the patch. Now when I try to start FS9, my computer crashes. Blue screen of death. Then restarts. Anyone else experiancing this problem. Once I remove the patch, FS9 starts ok again. Is there a mamual install, making sure the files go in FSX correctly??Bill M
