Good Afternoon All,

The purpose of this post is to announce the production of the Airbus A380 jet by Pageza Simulations.

Our currently expected ETA is EARLY 2021!!!

I have attached a preview photo for you.

It will include all the variants of the Airbus A380 as well as a fully-functioning virtual cockpit with top of the range systems and a shared cockpit system.

Feel free to join our Discord for updates at https://discord.gg/tZydbvegzc

Enjoy!

So... you only have a un-textured cockpit model, and you expect early 2021, which is 4-5 months away at most?

The A380 has been promised so many times.
It's a very complex airliner to recreate and that's not helped by very limited information being available in the public domain.

The best one to date is still the freeware Project Airbus A380. Only used simple flight characteristics, but some of the animations (such as dynamic wingflex, Load Alleviation Function and drooped control surfaces), which at the time in FSX was very impressive for freeware.

Currently, iniBuilds is working (very slowly) on one for XP and MSFS, community developer FlyByWire is working on a freeware one for MSFS, ProjectFly is an abandoned concept and all the previous payware attempts are junk and now we have some unknown developer. I don't expect most of these to be completed.

Good luck with your efforts, but put me in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category.

I wish you all the best and I’ll be a paying customer if you guys can pull off an accurate simulation of standard procedures. The image shared looks like a great cockpit model!

Formally screen name was Alex_YSSY until the forum software ate my account  ^_^

Can you explain by what you mean  "include all the variants" ?

Wishing you the best of success with your project. Its an agressive timeline, but look forward to it.

I was never interested in the aesthetics of the aircraft. Plus I am a Boeing fan.

🤦‍♂️

I've never understood the Airbus vs. Boeing uber fan rivalry. We're all supposed to be fans of aviation.

I could say that the 777 has a noisy cabin and an unimaginative design - it's just an enlarged version of the 767 and uses some of the same parts...
But that ignores the 1,649 deliveries of the aircraft, surpassing the more elegant 747 by 90 frames and achieving that total in half the time. (The A330 is the only other successful widebody with 1,506 deliveries to date).

The 777 effectively killed off the Trijets, 747, A340 and was arguably part of the reason the A380 was always a borderline business case.
I can at least appreciate the 777's technical capability, while enjoying the pax experience on-board an A380 much more.

I'm the same way.  I'm a fan of airliners in general.  I like Airbus/Boeing and McDonnell Douglas.  And the older ones.

Why do developers think Discord is a cool platform to communicate with users? I can hardly find something there.

Companies have made fortunes for pay for beta rubbish for decades.

Yes, I am of the same mind.

The understanding I have of this tool, based on what I have limited experienced so far  (REX and STKP Discord channels), is that if you type a question in the "live chat", typically there's a whole ton of end users present without it necessarily being staffed by a Tech Support person.  So you ask the question  and half the community are too busy playing so it goes unnoticed. Second if someone does reply, it could be much later and that response is way down in the discussion thread and not really well linked together.

All-in-all, I find it hard to find info and 2nd actually obtain technical support, especially when Discord is advertised as the channel for obtaining support by some developers. For that I have been unsuccessful.😢

Dont get me wrong- I can see the value of Discord as a live community chat room as you're playing and its probably a lot less hassle than set up and moderation of a forum like the one here (I tip my hat to the moderators)

...perhaps its that I am not a gamer-at-heart and maybe I missed the boat altogether on this technology???? 😕

That's about my feeling too. Thanks for explaining this system to me. I prefer the Avsim forum style.
