December 9, 20205 yr I thought I would drop this question in to this forum because I miss Poppet and her good sound advice on all things P3D. Many of us know of her and have been assisted by her in the past. Not heard from her lately. Is she still frequenting specific forums? December 9, 20205 yr Poppet's guides are as good and useful now as they ever were. She has left an excellent self-help repository that really doesn't need her to be here, or at the P3D forums or indeed the Orbx forums to answer questions. I wish her well for whatever she is doing and hope that she is doing well in these trying times.

When some ask about P3D problems it`s sometimes better to point them at the Tips & Tricks forum one of the few sim forums that has this, I even refer to this when it`s a long time since updating or repairing . December 9, 20205 yr It's notable that LM hasn't filled her position, i.e. they didn't think they needed to replace the one member of their team that provided tech support.

The circumstances surrounding her departure did seem somewhat strange and, I believe, out of character. I PM’d her on a couple of occasions to thank her for her sterling and selfless work on behalf of the community and each time she was quick to acknowledge with a very courteous and appreciative response. The obvious question is why she did not post to tell us she was leaving? I know she was under no obligation to do so, but then her valued contributions, alongside certain other notables from within our family, were unique and, one would have thought, might have triggered an explanation from the lady herself, if only to say a quick farewell. I guess that echoes how many of us have been feeling since her somewhat precipitant departure. My instinct tells me that there was more to this than we were told. Regards, Mike

Perhaps that is the case, but the fact is that she was the only person in the LM team who provided complete and practical answers about so many issues. LM's communication skills have always been poor and she tried to fill the gaps. Since she left there is no response from LM to most support forum posts. John B
December 10, 20205 yr Honestly, a bit weird to start chasing down someone in their personal life. If they left their role at LM, they may want nothing to do with what was left behind, and I doubt she’d want random blokes from the internet trying to find her either. December 10, 20205 yr Quote Honestly, a bit weird to start chasing down someone in their personal life. Agreed, especially as the sterling work that she did is still available for all to read and make use of as necessary. Edited December 10, 20205 yr by Reader
