It was ahead of the game in P3D being PBR to begin with.  A so called port over would just be natural in this case.  Not sure why you think that's a bad thing.  And FT doesn't try and 'get away' with anything when it comes to their products.  Give me a break.

Also @Drumcode Your comments are not only technically wrong, but unfounded.  Both developers have a really great reputations.  There are no 'special' files for the product itself that make it perform differently based on where it's sold.  Those kind of conspiracy theories need to go bro.

What’s technically wrong? I’m not claiming the installation architecture for the two sales sources are different. I’m questioning whether there some kind of vetting process/standard by Asobo before the products are added to the Marketplace.

Port overs have been historically bad but in many cases they've worked.  There's nothing wrong with wondering about this when we have way more intense scenery from both freeware and payware developers without major performance problems.  For a developer like FlyTampa this should not be an issue when LatinVFR can get Miami performing decently with their latest rendition which includes Downtown and South Beach.  I look at payware Ibiza airport with the freeware city enabled and the frames are better than this.  I look at Orbx London City airport with Orbx's landmarks and the performance is better.  You can't tell me London is not more intense than the Vegas area.  I could go on and on with examples hence I say what's at the core of this with FlyTampa.  Issues like this usually arise when legacy code is used.  No one knows but this shouldn't be a problem to this extent with an area like Vegas...

In any case, with your specs, there's gotta be something going on that we need to find the reason for.

None of us know because none of us can see the source code.  Developers are coming on board from XPlane and FS.  You can't tell me a just released version of FT Vegas for XPlane11 might not have some port over aspects to it that could be causing issues.  Again we don't know but I just look at the numbers when it comes to 90% of the other scenery we have for MSFS and they don't have this problem...

It might be none... When the day comes 'Perfect Flight' get's an upload in the Microsoft store I'll have my answer.

No, but you seem to know your stuff so I’d be interested to find out whether the product uploaded to Marketplace is vetted in any shape or form in order to be accepted for sales. 

If my suspicion is incorrect, fine. You seem in the know, so I’d love to hear your insight on the process and explain why I’m wrong. That’s all I’m asking.

Well hopefully FlyTampa can bow in and resolve the issue.  Frustration is easy when something like this was looked forward to from a highly respected developer.  I've had FT's sceneries since the FS9 days and they've always done amazing work.  Hope they fix this.

I can also confirm bad performance on my end. 10fps at the airport in the cub, 17 around the city. 

 

Specs are i7-9700k @ 4.8Ghz all 8 cores, GTX 1080ti, 32GB RAM and SSD. My VRAM usage is at 10.5GB FYI.
