It CTDs when I start at KLAS. Hmmmm

I installed in community folder and then cut pasted the two folders into a different location and llinked it to Community folder.

Let me put it back in community folder and try it again.

That didn't help. I cannot start at  KLAS.

Hmmmmmmm......... Anyone CTDs here after install FT KLAS?

Just bought it direct from Flytampa but its downloading at 77kb per second. Currently saying it will take 3 hrs to download from the European server 😨

There gotra be a balance.  Its a miracle for me that MS jumped back in.  Continued monitazation will give them more incentive to continue suppport for platform.  

My 1070TI runs almost everything at 2K and average of 30 frames but I go higher in less dense places but with this it looks like 10FPS is what I get.

Tried different resolutions even 1080 and still 10 FPS with 7862Gigs of GPU memory used.

If that is the case then we may need a 16GB video card in the future.

I will keep messing around but is is an awesome scenery even though I cant use it and for the cost of two drinks at a bar I can still check it out.

These developers must be porting over these airports as they are done very quickly and are half the price.

I am not complaining but just curious how they release them so quickly compared to original development that took years and now everything is half price witch logically tells me they didnt have to spend as much time to convert to MSFS.

Anyway my two cents if anyone has a solution I am all ears.

I noticed on FT Forum another user has the same CTD issue .

MS / Asobo would need to give me a good reason to use their store.  As of now the delays in releasing patches are enough reason not to.

Back to KLAS, I assume there’s no discount for purchasers of previous versions?  I haven’t received an email or anything...just wanted to be sure I’m not missing out on a discount before buying.

When switching back in to the cockpit from the drone camera the frames went down to around 10, but then after a few seconds went back up to the 30s.  Did a flight around the patch and averaged 35ish.  I noticed that when loading in at an airport anywhere it stutters for a few then settles back up.  I think that's just the sim in general.  I have a 1080ti and 8700k processor with 32 ram.  So probably medium'ish PC by today's standards.

 

Ft did an amazing job with this one.  I can't remember what the original cost for P3D.  I think it was around 32.00, so 19.00 or whatever for both the airport and the city is a really good deal.  I think they just priced at a medium level for everyone so you don't have to mess with discount codes in all the different stores.  Makes sense and is more than worth it for an entire airport and city at extreme detail.

Hmmm......i'm wondering if its your 11gb vram that is doing it.  Tempted to throw in my old Titan 12gb and see what it does (old old...Maxwell)...I wonder if this is a VRAM muncher?

There are two folders. The city and the Airport. Disable the Airport. And you can fly the city. 🙂

The CTD is due to something in the KLAS Airport. The city is fine. it looks like

30 lovely FPS during daylight on my settings and 8GB 1070.

An unusable 15-20 FPS at night though...something about the outstanding night lighting is eating my card alive 😞

Yeah, not sure.  It does that at any airport I load in to.  Just not quite as long.  It's not that big of a deal really.  I've been holding off upgrading the PC.  I was going to do it by now, but the sim runs pretty good on my system...lol.  I think after the new year I'll probably go for the the new I9-K and the 3090.  I really want the 24 gb vram...hehe.  I'm only wavering between 64  and 128 ram. 🙂 

In any case landing south at sunset is so amazing!

What download speeds are people getting? I have 300mb per second internet but currently my FlyTampa Las Vegas purchase is downloading at 77kb per second and is taking 3 hours. I tried both available servers (the US serves was suggesting 10 hours to download). 

I guess no discount for previous buyers?
