Second one has no commentary or notes so gives no clue if he is even using gaze tracking. Will need to see how it is implemented in MSFS but it definitely isn’t binary start stop of panning in my experience. It is really fluid and smooth with the right support. You can also dial in how you want it to act to really personalise the experience. I'm not disputing that it can track your eyes smoothly, I just don't see an algorithm that can use this to control the view. FYI the v1 implementation in FSX was indeed stop/start, and someone's truck sim video with v5 looks like it uses basically the same kind of algorithm. So yes, gaze tracking is exciting but let's use it for problems that need solving. And if anyone wants to claim gaze tracking will replace TrackIR, they're going to need to spell it out. October 29, 20214 yr In all honesty, I disabled gaze tracking when testing previously with MSFS but would certainly revisit if implemented properly in official support. The head tracking was fine for me and very accurate. My issue was the beta plugin could not offer smooth, real time tracking. I’ve seen in other apps where this isn’t an issue so I’m confident this will be a robust solution once released. We will know for sure soon enough. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. November 13, 20214 yr Can't wait to give this a shot in FS once it get official support through SU7. Reviews in other sims like DCS have been pretty good...
November 13, 20214 yr Planning on picking a Tobii 5 again if the early feedback is promising. Prefer the whole tracking experience without needing to wear anything on my head. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

Only controller change is the addition on the Fulcrum yoke but sitting position and clearance are fine with that in place. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. November 18, 20214 yr So (im)patiently waiting on someone to test this official support now SU7 is out. Fingers crossed it works well although I believe initially it will only offer head tracking. November 18, 20214 yr I am really interested about some feedback as well Just wondering, is it only working in game, or can I also use it to move my cursor on windows? Edited November 18, 20214 yr by bendead

You can, however use your hat switch in conjunction with Tobii. I'm glad to see it's supported, but I'd like it to be more functional. Who knows how long it'll take, but it's better than nothing. Especially using it with the Reno DLC. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

November 18, 20214 yr I don't know if this has any relevance, but they changed something with how TrackIR works. When you click F9 to toggle TrackIR off (in Naturalpoint software), the in-game TrackIR toggle also turns off. But when you click F9 to enable it, the in game toggle does NOT turn on. Meaning you have to have the Camera views window open and manually turn it on.
