Anyone going to sim in VR?

Featured Replies

I'm curious to find out what people will think of it. I might get a VR set if its pretty nice. One thing in FS that I never have enough of is screen real estate.

I definitely will. I was exclusively flying sims in VR until MSFS. With the addition of VR, I’ll be going right back to it. I’ll post my experience with it in the VR section once I get a chance to try it out.

Only bought MSFS because of VR. Went all in on a rig and headset (RTX3080 and Reverb G2). Can't wait.

I have a Reverb G2 ready and waiting. I'm curious to see how well it's going to run.

I will definitely use it for some VFR flying. I guess you cannot switch between VFR and Monitor in the same session, so for longer flights I will stick to the monitor.

My PC does OK with it 1440 and on mostly high settings... I would have to do a major upgrade to run VR. I have an ultrawide curved monitor which I like. I also would not be a fan of using my controls in VR... I guess you would get used to it?

same here and here is the list I bought since June in preparation;

i7-10700K __ ASUS HERO XII __  64G (4x16) __ 850W psu __ 3090 __ Oculus Rift s and  Reverb G2  and a new larger ATX case for all this.

AND If it dont work good I will likely leave simming

VR starts tomorrow! I wonder what time it will release??

guessing means not knowing. in just a few hours you don't have to guess anymore.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

My guess is you are mistaken. You can do that in XP and P3D, I don't see why you shouldn't in MSFS.

thats is fantastic equipment. please tell the audience about your VR experience, re. difference between Oculus Rift and HP G2, once the new VR version is out.

sorry Farlis, I misquoted you when I wanted to support your argument 🙂
