Impressed with the latest Update

Featured Replies

Please don't take this the wrong way, but for me personally yesterdays update has been the best so far. Gone are the occasional CTD's my tubeliner has a working AP, ILS is working...I am glad with this update both Asobo and MS have listened and fixed a lot of the issues with various aircraft. yes there's still more to do, but for me it now looks as if we're heading in the right direction

So Thanks Asobo and MS, Have a good holiday, and a Merry Christmas.

Second that. Still some minor issues here and there (CTD when returning to main menu *after* a successful flight or just being thrown out of Xbox live) but in general smooth and graphics looking better. Just flown from LOWW into LOWI with the custom modded neo into breathtaking sunset and snow covered aircraft on the apron. Impressed. Thanx Asobo, MS and FBW, a merry Xmas indeed. Now I just need to take my hands off MsFs for the next, well, 36 hours or so 🙂

The clouds still suck even on ultra. The terrain is now messed up with spikes all over the place. And the CJ4 has the trim inverted!? (taken care of by the WT mod of course). The weather is still not remotely accurate by a long shot.

Hard to love this latest release with so many major glaring shortcomings....

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Same here! Really happy with the G36 flight dynamics update and new control sensitivity options.

No CTDs, no graphics issues, no terrain mesh issues (at least where I’ve flown), etc.

But again, removed all mods before update and have not added any back in (even of the ones already updated).

I think I might experiment with everything kept stock and default and see how it goes.

I was hoping to only have/want to buy airplanes for MSFS and nothing more.

May just try it now, I’ve only bought the three Carenados and SkyPark (for the career aspect) but it runs outside the sim so it doesn’t count!

Nobody commenting on the artifacts looking like little pyramids popping up in the scenery all over the place.  The UK is riddled with them and a few other countries too.

I haven’t seen this in the southeastern USA where I’ve been flying since the update.

this post has nothing to do with what you mentioned . this sounds like you need to open your own post and vent out instead on coming in and pretty much try to sht all over someone's positive experience ...

I think this update was really good. Long list of improvements.  We just need several more just like this one. I am very happy with the progress so far.

Yep. Ive personally had some serious clashes on this forum blocking a few cheerleaders for Asobo as if they work for the team personally. But as ive said before ill call it as i see it from my perspective. This update on balance is a net positive. Im sure Asobo are well aware of the myriad of issues that abound with the sim. The way this software is written and the many factors that affect it in terms of it running optimally i doubt they would be able to catch everything and lets say in testing/QA they noticed those spikes and its going to take a bit to fix them.. Do you think they would hold up the update till its fixed ?  I think not.

So i think im going to put the complaining loudspeaker down and be a little reasonable for now. Everyone knows they still got a lot of work to do. But for now.. just find a Jet or prop that works and keep the powder dry till Jan/Feb and see if they come good. In my opinion it looks as if they are kinda trying. I cant knock that.

I am delighted with the update. The autopilot was perfect on my a320fbw flight. Just looking for more airliner choice before I consider it the perfect sim.

I think we all really want similar things, and the sim to continually improve with each update. The reason i felt i needed to say something this time is because from my point of view they nailed it. There was far more improvement across most aircraft then we had ever seen before, some stuff we never expected.

I also agree there is more to be done, but at least we are now going in the right direction.

It was an update of pros and cons for me. The clouds and the night lighting in particular look better but there’s no escaping the spike terrain issue for me too. I’m not going to start laying into Asobo, it’s the nature of the beast when you update so much so frequently. They will fix it soon am sure.
