Well, you surely must have installed something like the liveries Megapack, otherwise you won't have all those real world liveries. But yes, of course KSDF has a proper AFCAD with airline codes so, if you have a good AI set, they'll populate the scenery as they should.

Oh yeah. I have some of the megapak liveries (actually leas than 10 or so) and I have other liveries as well. That may have done it.

I find a nice and quick flight is starting from KCVG ( Cincinnati ), follow the course of the Ohio river due SW, and pass over Louisville downtown before landing on either 17R or 17L.

Yes, this a favorite flight of mine also. I especially like taking the Icon A5 down the Ohio to the city, turning south for an approach, taking in the many bridges, the Falls of the Ohio, and the city skyline. You'll also see Slugger Field (home of the AAA Bats) and the Yum Center (home of the Louisville Cardinals and site for shows and concerts), and note that this area of the Ohio River is where the annual air show and fireworks display Thunder over Louisville takes place, with many military planes including the occasional appearance from the Navy Blue Angels or Air Force Thunderbirds, flying over the bridges and up and down the river. Just before landing, take a peek to your right and look for iconic Churchill Downs, home of the Ky. Derby, and Cardinal Stadium . Sometimes I turn south a little early, follow the Snyder freeway around the east, fly over the Valhalla golf course and around the southern loop and make an approach to 35R.

As you have noticed, due to older Bing maps currently in use in the sim for the Louisville area, the Lincoln bridge is currently not depicted in the sim. The eastern bridge is there but is a generic one. I am hoping someone with expertise with the Google rendering process will take it upon themselves to add these bridges to the area.

KSDF is a convenient airport for many "mid" country flights, especially being the UPS hub. One can make many short flights to various cities to and from it, and enjoy the new airport.

Thanks for the upgrade for MSFS. I am sure many pilots will enjoy it.

What Mega Pack Liveries...?

Am I missing something?

Are these by default or add-on?

Thanks!

Thats one tool to install liveries from the megapack. Instead of installing the whole thing, this tool would help install liveries that you want by aircaft and livery. You have better control.

if you want the whole thing installed (uncontrolled) then do this

I prefer Option 1

I use Option 1 and then install specific 4K livery from here

I was wondering that as well. What did you install to get the liveries, haha

You could also replace default AI with specific anilines

Also check your Traffic setting. When I originally posted my screenshot I had it at 50% and then I changed it to 100% and my FPS dropped perceptively.

It has been like this for all our products for MSFS so far, we tried to explain so many times, and in this case we even tried to explain it in the email about the KSDF update:

- The reason why there's a Download protection service, it's because our products for MSFS don't have a Trial, because we don't have any software running with them in MSFS, like we do in FSX/P3D (Couatl + Addon Manager), they are JUST sceneries and, there's no technical means to make a Trial right now, at least not without adding extra software JUST to allow the Trial. Here I'm not 100% accurate: since the last update, this might be easier to do with the updated SDK but, if we did that, it would be *just* for the Trial.

I always tried to explain our Addon Manager / Couatl software is used for SO MUCH more than "just" offering a Trial and act as DRM, we surely will introduce it back, but do USEFUL things, like GSX, Docking Systems, the custom Cargo load at KSDF.

When we'll have GSX and all these things fully working in MSFS, we can then reintroduce the Trial and the always freely available downloads too, because when I said we wouldn't add a software *just* to allow a Trial and do DRM, I MEAN IT, and the way our sceneries for MSFS are working is proving exactly that, since they run *without* any software, the only thing related to licensing is that users without a license won't be able to keep the scenery updated with the Live Updater because, while we can tolerate someone would want so hard to pirate a 9.99$/6.99$ product, at least we shouldn't pay bandwidth for him!

So, because there's no Trial, there's no freely available download for everybody, but that doesn't mean you are forced to buy Digital River Download protection.

That service is an OPTION, which you can just Remove from the cart. Just store the installer in a safe place ( the best possible place being a cloud service, like Google Drive or Dropbox or OneDrive ) because, by default, the normal download link from Digital River lasts only 30 days with no Download Protection, otherwise it's 24 months at most. Unfortunately, 24 months is the longest Digital River allow to do. And, we cannot offer that option as an opt-in, it's either enabled by default so you must Remove it, or it's not available at all.

We don't make ANY money on the Download Protection, that's why Digital River doesn't allow us to show it "disabled" with an option to Enable it, they want to push it, because they make more money from that then from their normal processing fee.

However, this doesn't mean you risk "losing" your purchase, even if you don't want to buy the Download Protection. We don't not suggest you should, and we recommend keeping a backup of the installer instead so, what happens if you decided not to buy the Download protection ( or you have, but more than 2 years passed), and you haven't made a backup and you lost the installer ?

In ALL cases, we will always let you download the installer , you will just have to contact support and we WILL provide you with the installer, no questions asked, THAT'S why we suggest NOT to buy the Download Protection, because you are buying an FSDT product, and we'll never ask anybody to re-purchase anything.

The thing is, we say "do a backup", as the first, sane option, because it's best for everyone, you won't have to wait for our reply in case you lose the installer, and we don't have to spent time which would be better spent in...doing *actual* products, by replying all day to users that forgot to backup the installer. So, backup should be always the first option, but in case you haven't done it, FSDT support will always be there to let you download it again.

Why do you say one thing in a public forum, and then say something very different when a customer contacts you to request help with the installer?

And how, exactly, what I wrote in that email is any different that what I wrote in public ?

It's obviously telling exactly the same thing: even if you decided not to buy the Download Protection from Digital River we'll always let you download the installer,  that EXACTLY what that email is saying in the last two lines of the email:

Quote

If you could provide me with a link to a shared folder of yours on some cloud service, like Dropbox, Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc. a link I can write to, I can send you the installer there. I cannot send it by email, since an attachment so big will surely be rejected by every email  server out there.

What's not so clear about this ? How, exactly, you could possibly understand this in any other way that is precisely what I said "in public" which is that, regardless if you bought the Download protection or not, you WILL be allowed to get the installer ?

If anything, this email should have been posted as proof we stand behind what we say "in public"...

But let's see what's REALLY happened with you, shall we ?

You sent that email on January 17th, asking to download the Zurich installer, to which I replied to the one you posted on the next day, and YOU replied with this:

Quote

Sorry and thanks, hope I have done this right: https://www.dropbox.com/xxxxxxxxxxx

Obviously, I've uploaded the setup exe right away, and IT'S STILL THERE on your Dropbox shared folder, this is a screenshot taken from YOUR link just now!

Exactly!

@virtuali I haven't read the hole thread, but can you confirm that the Marketplace version will be encrypted making it impossible to edit the AFCAD?
