Maybe the building is for a new enterprise?

Why does it look like a Star Fleet vessel, or why did they build it that way?

It looks like a Star Fleet vessel... because it does. And it may just be coincidence it looks that way. Or the architect loves Star Trek.

I suppose that whoever it was built for wanted something "unique..."

I'm sure it was a very expensive fantasy building.

It's so if aliens turn up and think we are unprepared for an attack, they'll see that from orbit and go, 'hang on a minute, is that a massive starship they have down there...?'

"...quick then! We'd better drop a kinetic round on it right now!"

That was a clever bit of humor Alan.

Following the link to Mashable from the Youtube video description:

Our tipster explained to us that the building is the headquarters of NetDragon Websoft, a Chinese gaming and mobile Internet company. And it's no Chinese knock-off: Company Chairman Liu DeJian is reportedly an uberTrekkie, licensing from CBS the rights to build an Enterprise replica. Construction began in 2008 and was finished in 2014; the project cost $160 million total.

The building is the only officially licensed Star Trek building on the planet

The building is the only officially licensed Star Trek building on the planet (you had your chance, Las Vegas). Besides its otherworldly shape, the building contains a replica display of a T-Rex dinosaur named Stan discovered in South Dakota in 1987, 30-foot metal slides that provide instant access to the ground floor from the third floor, and automatic sliding gates between each working area.

Did they install replicators? If so, will they serve "tea, Earl Grey, hot?"

I would be so disappointed if I went in that building and the doors didn't go 'shssssh' when you walked up to them.

I dunno, seems those "shssssh" doors have a mind of their own.
