Hello,

We cannot fly in our real world with real planes over some cities.

Example : La Mecque, Saudi Arabia and it's Kaaba !
But we can fly  over those places with Fs 2020. Here is an example of what I did ( and here is my flight plan)

As we can find MANY pictures of La Mecque, using Google, do you think we can publish  those videos showing those cities ?

If NO, I will un publish this video, but will keep it ! I do not want to be outlaw !

You are so bad! 😀  What next?  Area 51?

In all seriousness - I don't think you have committed any crime.  In fact, I am sure you haven't.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

@ctdlg if your question about publishing those videos being legal is serious, there's no reason not to be able to do that. If the imagery is there on Google, Bing and in the sim, it can't be forbidden as it's in the public domain. if you were publishing videos of you crashing your plane into the buildings, then maybe somebody would want to interview you though! I wouldn't recommend that.😉

Of course you can.  I-diots have crashed planes into buildings and published that too.

I have no doubt of that. All I'm saying is if you publish videos of crashing into a building and that then happens in real life, don't be surprised if the FBI etc come knocking on your door to see if you were involved in the real thing. I'm not talking about "Oops, look what a mess I made of this flight" videos, just ones where it was clearly an intentional and thought through act. It may sound like paranoia but if terrorists are stupid enough to post videos of their planned actions...

But hey, do what you like (video-wise), it's not my problem.

Flying over these cities isn’t allowed due to either noise, safety, or domestic security (e.g., prevent terrorism....somehow).

A digital flight in a flight simulator does none of these things.

Publishing a video of you doing it is 100% unenforceable. No one will reprimand you or arrest you, unless you’re actively encouraging people to slam into buildings IRL.

I do think some forget how repressive some regimes can be. In some parts of the world, internet usage and social media is highly monitored and censored, and even perceived "transgressions" can have real-world consequences. It is tied to residency within one of those nations though.

Hi, CTdlg

Don't worry, there is nothing wrong flying over Saoudi, the Mecca etc... ( using MSFS 2020).

In real life, as amahran said, there might be some restrictions flying over cities.

Just like TFR's - IRL if you bust them you might find an F16 flying next to you but in the sim - not a problem.

Well, at least until DC Designs or some other dev releases one for MSFS!😄

Back in FS-2004, I made scenery for the Kabaa.  Rather than people being upset, I was contacted and thanked for having created it.

The "greens/environmentalists/" "HOW DARE YOU" crowd,  have helped prohibit flights within the grand canyon (Not all places but the most interesting places of the grand canyon is off limits for aircrafts/Helies.*There is a special sectional charts for Grand Canyon alone)  Yes. Hmm, a little triggered are we?  Step back and take a breath.

in some natural reserves low flying should be prohibited yes.
