I see that around my plane against clouds too...

Rite I thought it was just impacting me coz I run everything on low (780 card still) but indeed under certain circumstances (assuming certain time of day/weather combo) I also see this halo and it's particularly bad on planes which look like a pencil line is drawn around them, almost looking like a cartoon.  It's definitely been introduced as part of the world update.

I’m seeing it to. Basically everywhere where there is a sharp contrasting edge between sky and trees/buildings/aircraft. Did not notice this before the last world update.

I saw the same in overcast conditions yesterday. Definitely new since to me since World Update 3. I also noticed some jaggy edges on the horizon, or aircraft window edges while I was rolling the aircraft or panning the camera. Seems like the anti-aliasing fixes they put in place a couple of patches ago have been slightly undone again?

On balance, though, there's something about the visuals of the clouds, sky and ground that makes everything look absolutely stunning compared to before the patch... As long as you're not on the ground, looking through trees in overcast conditions, that is 😉

I hope that in addition to this that they will eventually manage to get rid of that horizontal line on the horizon appearing at certain times.  I guess it's a lot more complicated than we think.

Ah, and I was wondering if it is only me. 🙂

Every structure gets this halo/blue line when viewed against the cloudy sky. Not sure if visible against blue sky.

Did you once try to see how this looks like when turning off ambient occlusion in the settings?

Trust me it's off (double checked), with my system everything is off or if it can't be turned off it's on low, that's why I'm reluctant to report graphical issues as I don't want to assume the issue is related to the code itself rather than my system as I don't really expect my 2013 PC to run without graphical compromises. It still performs and looks better than FSX though so kudos to Asobo for that.

I've noticed this when changing the weather or time of day, but it seems to fade away after a few seconds for me?

Agreed, I hadn't noticed it before The UK & Ireland update either. I was taxiing in rainy and misty weather and suddenly noticed the distant terminal buildings had a halo. Then the trees. Finally, I used the drone to look around and saw halos on the different horizontal edges of a multi-storey car park, even when at an angle which meant the edges had the car park floor (rather than the sky) behind them. There are worse things needing fixed, but it's a bit odd and distracting.

Some observations:
- This does not happen against a clear sky only against clouds
- This does only happen with daylight or at dusk/dawn. At night it is gone.

Well, in P3Dv5 with enhanced atmoshperics on, it is even worse. But I can not recall the reason over there, but I guess it is the same here. I doubt it can be eliminated completely, time to open a zendesk ticket I guess. Or a vote in the forums 😉
