What kind of voodoo magic is this!?! I thought MSFS didn't support helicopters. More ingenuity from the MSFS community!

Chris

All of the SimVars are there to get the relative wind direction, speed, etc and also to apply generic forces and moments to the aircraft.  It's probably a simple flight model coded outside the simulator.

An early example of this was in the 2 "aircraft carrier" addons which appy a catapult acceleration to the aircraft.

Helicopters Taboo !

Nice airbus helo model , this sim urge this kind of aircraft.

All MSFS is a enormous playground for rotorcraft.

Amazing - thanks so much for the great work!

Airbus H135 v0.75 is now up on Flightsim.to! Leave us a 5 star review 🙂

- FADEC now controls engine RPM and the user's throttle controls collective, it's now unnecessary to bind a propeller axis
- LOAD on the center G3000 display now sorta shows torque/collective power and no longer follows engine throttle
- Thanks to @FireRx, @mnpostema & @Erik1520y'all have got some new turbine engine sounds
- Disabled annoying sounds from airplane logic (spin around in a circle to notice)
- Lights updated by @JD3 (ChrisPiAviation)
- Load factor reduced so you now can have crashes. Be careful with the pre-flight cinematics if you use the advanced flight model. Use developer mode to disable crash detection if you have problems.
- Enhanced feel of landings
- Weather/Terrain settings added back
- Color changes now for the flight model in use
- ENG stop/start buttons on center display
- GEN1/2 indication/buttons on the center display
- Added ground power support with toggle available on center display
- Fixed ground power button state
- Added parking brake indication and toggle on center display (helpful for users of virtual airlines, VATSIM, etc)
- Lights panel added to pilot's G3000 display
- Contact points tweaked
- Repack 75 blackscreen fix
- Tweaked EIS
- Single engine support
- Battery capacity to spec
- Generator capacity to spec
- Engine goes to 100% rpm now
- Multiple interior lighting improvements
- Translational guidance indication (green dot) on HSI... centered is zero lateral/forward translation... automatically shows up when at very low speeds at any altitude
- Engine power now scales to collective in failures
- Density altitude now drives collective as you ascend
- PITOT HEAT toggle added on pilot's G3000 display
- Users wanting to map FADEC on their input hardware can map the toggle to variometer - don't use the set binding option, only the toggle one

Sorry but I can't get the throttle or propeller to function. I am using a T1600 joystick. I tried mapping throttle to axis 1 and propeller to axis 1...neither one worked. It was working a few versions ago.

What is the proper setup to get it working?

I tried throttle binding to axis 1 and later propeller binding to axis1 both ways to be clear. I did not do both at the same time.

All other planes work fine.

Outstanding progress and updates. Thanks for bringing helis to MSFS.

after you use cntrl-e to start, you still have to turn on the fadec (it's on the center screen at bottom) then it will fly. If you don't turn on FADEC you will just sit there thinking this thing doesn't work. (yes, I too sat there for a while trying to figure it out!)

Ooooo, didn’t know that.  I’ll try it! Never saw that hotspot.
‘thanks.

So I tried it, found the fadec button, but it didn’t work. When I pressed the button, the throttle did move, but I could not control it. In the external view I cannot see the throttle try to move, but then it goes back to full.  Even then it still doesn’t give full power. It’s like something is interfering and the controls are fighting each other. I only have keyboard bindings for propeller control.

This thing is great! Only issue noticed was it starts/spawns hovering and not on the ground.

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Without hitting FADEC the aircraft only has 77% RPM,  would be cool if the aircraft came in running at 100% if starting running on a runway.

Other than that this thing is really fun, and is awesome in VR.
