If the server or any thing in the route to your PC is congested, the data may stop or load slowly. When that happens what you see is the base scenery which is part of the original install. It looks really bad compared to the normal streaming scenery. I know it's not rocket science Bob... 🤨 I'm merely trying to ascertain whether the problem could be at Asobo's end. Is the data sent from Asobo's server? If I am getting 75Mbps at my end I'm trying to understand where the issue is. I already posted on another reply that your ISP data rate has nothing to do with this issue
July 10, 20214 yr Author In my case, (I opened the trhead) it was caused by a combination of issues but mostly a bad motherboard not being able to load the data quick enough, on top of that I found that when the internet drops out or slows down it automatically turns off Bing Data which can go unnoticed unless you check that specifically, so most likely for all others that could be causing the blurry textures or a slow connection. July 10, 20214 yr I think, by this point, we all heard about the tree range issue in the northern regions. What Im starting to understand is that this isn't only affecting the trees, but the textures in general as well. I do hope that the fix coming by the end of the month will fix both issues. July 10, 20214 yr Does anyone know if this issue is well know to Asobo, or is it necessary to make a formal support ticket? September 19, 20214 yr This helped me with MSFS blurry ground textures which just suddenly appeared after WU5. I used Enterprise Client for Toredo State. Had terrible blurry ground textures, googled for a fix, implemented what was on this page, and now my ground textures are remaining sharp.

Under the data tab in general settings, the first three options (online functionality through photogrammetry) need to be on, and your data limitation needs to either be off, or more than you've already used. The online settings get automatically turned off if MSFS detects that your data rate isn't high enough to support it, and you have to manually turn it back on. My ISP sucks, so I find myself doing that once or twice a week. Old post from you eslader but you were the first answer the OPs question and it got my attention. Fixed my problem straight away. 👍👍 Thanks a heap. Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! January 15, 20224 yr I bought Palm Springs from Orbx yesterday and I noticed the blurry rounded hills around the city. From reading this thread and similar I am thinking and please correct me if I am wrong that:- 1. You must have a decent internet connection that is not subject to interruption. 2. You must have a pretty good rig. I have fiddled with the settings within the MSFS program as per other suggestions. I do not have a good internet connection. Being Australian means nothing like what you can get in Europe or in parts of the US. I can get 52 mbps to the local server in Adelaide but very few programs have data on the local server so I am likely to get constant fluctuations and glitches that have prevented me from playing any online games in the past. For example in the Wings over Desert incarnation of Cliffs of Dover I was getting kicked out at least 12 times per session when trying to play online with squad mates. I tried different computers, paired gain devices and locating next to the modem/router. This is after buying and installing a decent modem/router with repeater devices placed around the house. Nothing worked so I reluctantly said good bye and offloaded those programs. I do not really wish to invest more money into new hardware, I do have a decent PC that my wife uses and I like to play on my low end laptop and I think that should be good enough for me. Am I right in what I was thinking? Edited January 15, 20224 yr by AOB

Though this is a very old post, the idea that photogrammetry needs to be on to avoid blurry textures is simply wrong. I have it turned off all the time and have superb graphics. I do agree that the online and Bing data options need to be on.
