Where are all the "more than 16GB RAM isn't needed" folks?🤣

if you want 4 k , 32 Gb is needed

if you run just hd 16 gb is enough.

remember the xconsole has only 16 Gb.

what is really needed is a bit more common sense in the forums, wont happen i am afraid.

I knew that storm is coming so i  pre-order my card from Computer Universe 1 month before the release. For European users i strongly suggest this online pc shop.. great prices and pro customer care.

As for ram, MSFS at ultra settings needs for sure more than 16g ram, 32g is the best option

My 1080TI hits 10,5gb VRAM even in 3K at places like EKCH so 18- 24 GB VRAM seems like the future.

if a 3080 had an odometer, i wonder what an "ex china special" would have clocked up on it?

About a ga-gillion miles.  I'd be willing to bet the edges of the fan blades have eroded from just impacting the air for all those miles.   Personally I wouldn't touch a card coming from a mining rig.  You ain't getting a warranty, and those cards are running full speed 24/7 and at the hottest temps they can tolerate the second the are plugged in.

Yea... I ordered my 3080 on the 11:th of January (MSI Trio X) for EUR 900. Got it two weeks ago. I did get a Trio Z instead though as the Trio X i discontinued now. I ordered an MSI 3070 Trio X at the same time for EUR 700 (for my son) and got that in March. So my son had to live with my old 2080 until 2 weeks ago as I claimed the 3070 for MSFS. So I am very happy to have lived through the chip crisis in a good way 🙂 If I would have placed those orders just some weeks later I guess neither card would have arrived now...

I have 16 GB ram, and most of the time with fairly high settings, my Ram usage is around 65%. See no reason to go to 32 GB.

$1600. I remember years ago you could buy a car for around that amount.

I do 4k on 1080ti. I changed switched from 16gb to 32gb a while back.

Did I notice any difference whatsoever? Erm... nope. But I do like bigger numbers so that's enough.
