Stream Deck - This is great

Featured Replies

Stream Deck some may know of this but had to share

I have a 15 button version on its way - 32 is a bit to expensive imo and this Flightdeck software has 15 button profiles also

Picked one up new on EABY for $116.00 plus $10 for shipping - used ones are not much less so it was an obvious choice - Amazon running about the same price sometimes mostly more money

15 button version is just a few more button pushes no big deal - this is going to make things a lot easier no more fiddling around - cant wait till it shows up

I installed the software for the Stream Deck and bought fligthdeck plugin - all appears to be working just need actual unit - very cool - though I share

Heres a screenshot of all the aircraft offered in this plugin for only

For those with an old tablet (or phone) laying around,  Stream Deck sells an app that allows 15 buttons on a mobile.  https://www.elgato.com/en/stream-deck-mobile

Side note:  Richard, I like FSRadioPanel too.  if you have an old tablet.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tambucho.fsradiopanel.trial&hl=en_US&gl=US

I mostly use it for the radio stack.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention Voice Attack,  and HCS Voice Packs.   VA will allow you to speak commands,   and the voice packs are already configured profiles for fs2020.    Currently HCS has 2 male and 1 female pack.

Wonderful - so absolutely no interaction is required with the aircraft control surfaces whatsoever?

It's all done by pushing buttons on a tablet. Fantastic.

Love my StreamDecks.  I bought the XL version first and started building profiles for various planes.  Then I bought a standard model that I use mostly for camera views.

Yes I purchased one of the XL just last week. Still trying to learn about it.

I have Guenseli’s DC6 profile in use. Wow what a difference this makes to operating that aircraft.

The possibilities for this device in MSFS are fantastic.

Can the buttons be moved around/rearranged on a tablet?

I have spent many hours learning how to set up MSFS on the Stream Deck XL and the Behringer XTouch Mini MIDI panel (for it's rotary knobs). Learning to program these devices and creating layouts for various functions and aircraft types can become a hobby in itself. Many Stream Deck functions use assignments from the keyboard profile in MSFS, and others are run through Lorby's Axis and Oh's software. In many cases scripting is required. Some templates and scripts can be found online. Not all sim functions can be set up on these devices, as there is often no script in the SDK that can be used.  Some controls used on the glass panels for instance, can only be used with the mouse and cursor. There are no scripts that allow their functions to be transferred onto other hardware. This can be very disappointing and frustrating, as you're still stuck with the mouse, especially for some of the fiddly multi-function knobs. This is all a work-in-progress, as MSFS evolves and adds and alters functions and controls. But even in it's current state, MSFS can be made much easier to use through these devices. Lots of good info on the Tube.

I use mine for lights and the radio mainly. It's a very useful device for MSFS and for general productivity at work as well.

Great info hoping that payware I bought will work well - if it does cheap price for what you get 🙂

I see that the key bindings are all setup in Stream Deck - just have to get the actual unit - and make sure bindings I all ready have are cleared out

Yes, StreamDeck is brillant.

I gave all my self built hardware switch panels and even my Saitek Switch Panel away for it.

There's so much more possibilities.

AxisAndOHs is the perfect software to run this and all other hardware.

I have created several StreamDeck profiles already for some addons.

Little gauges included.

Many AAO functions could be also used with other Hardware.
