Right now the only thing that scares me (apart from the game-ish menus) is the fact that at any given time, if MS pulls the plug on the servers, this sim is simply gone. Let's hope it lasts because once aircraft like this (if it matches expectations) start to appear, there's no turning back.

Nuno,

right now pretty much everything we had for "sure" is easily unpluggable in a blink of eyes...

I am more for the "Take it while it's Hot".... principle. Enjoy, don't stick to it... After all a principle most men apply to their way of understanding relationship in the early days of their youth, and in some cases all live long 🙂

The menus scare ya ? Well, forget the menus, you can even hide the instrument displays in the external views ( I guess it's possible ... ). For me stuff like the not so intuitive controller settings menus, the list of stuff that is being found regarding inconsistencies in the flight dynamics and weather modelling, etc, are the stuff that really make me think, but I built this new rig thinking about MFS 🙂 ( well, and XP12 too ), so, I'll give it some use while I can...

I don't understand the comment about the menus.  It must be purely subjective as I don't have a problem with them.  What should they look like then?

What does worry me is when we live in an age where menus 'scare' people.

Maybe we need a 'safe space' for people to go for a few minutes after they have set up their simulator by going through the 'scary' menus!  😀

I am sure I have taken the 'scary' comment too literally, I know!

Anyway, to get back on topic, I hope Fenix and Aamir keep feeding us snippets of information and videos once in a while.  I am finding the development of this aircraft really interesting.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Yes, a bit, they don't actually scare me, but it's a distraction which to me could be avoided. It's game-like and much slower/harder to find anything with all those icons and space being used with pictures and stuff. FSX/Prepar3D/X-Plane menus would do just fine, but hey, it'll be out on X-Box right? 😞

Anyway, and i agree with @jcomm here, let's just enjoy what they gave us to the best and while we can and be glad Prepar3D came out to much improve FSX as well as MSFS which is a major leap forward in simulation. Not mentioning X-Plane here because i don't use it, just that.

Glad they're doing the older A320, the slower start up on the newer ones is a pain in the @rse. 🤣

I was waiting for a new video, but it didn't come.

Every time someone talks about MS pulling the plug I get a headache...

Don't get too excited the "FENIX A320" Doesn't detect the Honeycomb Quadrant everything else does including the new PMDG 737. I haven't got a reply yet either from FENIX.

P3D had an identity crisis

This is not as it is. P3D has certainly not a identity crisis. Their market is military and companies with the goal of training purposes. Far beyond flight simulation. We are a tiny percentage for them. P3D doesn't neet us at all. They earn their money with military contracts and companies which are much much bigger then we hobby users all together

But indeed. At the moment I like MSFS more as it simply has a newer graphic lighting engine and great scenery and imagery. With 3th party study level planes....exactly what I wanted to use.
