If the Fenix A320 can do everything it's hyped up to ... ... well, it will set a new standard for "study level" planes.  And it will be another stepping stone to ensuring MSFS is the de facto home flight simulator for the next decade.

Got to say, looks pretty darn good 👍

That's a solid looking aircraft - looks very complete I wonder what features are left to add?

Hopefully we can get it this year!

Sounds would be nice 🙂

It is pretty awesome that last week hardly anyone knew about this project and now it autolands in a virtual cockpit that looks very hi-def.

I think at this point, there can’t be an argument against MSFS being the de facto simulator. Even with its flaws, it’s leaps-and-bounds ahead of anything else. Also, there’s a dev team that’s so involved with the community compared to others, there’s just no competition.

And further - I’ve seen the previews up the upcoming X-Plane release. Until they can figure out lighting alone, they’ll be lost in the dust. MSFS is so immersive on just the lighting alone that it will continue to leave XPlane in the dust. This is not me hating on XPlane. I’ve used it for years and love it. But if they want to stay alive, they’re gonna have to start innovating, which in a lot of cases, ends up saving a company. Either way, I’m happy to see my life long hobby have this unexpected rebirth.

Yep, no doubt about that! Would be interesting to look into the crystal ball and fast forward 1 or 2 years to see the status of the other platforms. They had a good run, but you need to move ahead and incorporate the advances in technology. Small changes and tweaks to the current versions of the other platforms is just not enough when you see what MSFS offers, especially in view of recent aircraft releases and models in the pipeline.

I agree,  I’ve said it many times before, but over the last 10 years, X-Plane and P3D have only had “incremental” improvements in each new version release.  This time, “incremental” isn’t enough,  P3D 6 and X-Plane 12 need “monumental” improvement.  If it’s just “incremental” improvement for their next major version release, MSFS will leave both in the dust and there won’t be any looking back.

Imagine for a moment that somehow P3D and XP are able to close the gap graphically, and it doesn’t require a 500TB drive. Will 3rd party developers jump back into development on those platforms, taking effort away from the huge rewards available in MSFS?

Just one example. PMDG. What would motivate them to redirect resources away from MSFS to P3D? Would new graphics do it? Not when there will be a zillion potential xbox customers buying add-ons. Sorry, but check and mate. It might be a slow death for those two, but death it will be. They need a miracle. Nothing else can save them. LM makes billions so no risk for them, especially with the professional market they serve. But XP? Doesn’t look good imo.

XP will be fine, it has a much smaller market, but they have the mobile and Linux market to pay their small team's bills....

I think that the XBOX release is a real "game" changer for the flight "sim" arena.

The revenue potential for both Devs and Microsoft is a win win for them and us. We have a dedicated Dev with the funds to keep pushing the boundaries.

I often think back to the demise of FSW (along with their enthusiasm and consumer engagement)....how I thought flight simming was practically dead because XP and P3D had sluggish development with nothing new / exciting to offer.

And now here we are...with new updates / additions coming every "month" from Asobo, not to mention the tons of freeware / payware released every week.

I will debate with XP fans about which is better, but even where MSFS is behind...they are that much further ahead with the constant / frequent engagement , updates, and future development.
