July 23, 20214 yr Anyone else noticing crazy high temps at High Altitude levels? I am near Arkansas and Kansas City at FL340 and the CRJ is reading +40c and definitely degrading performance for cruise. Happy Landings,
July 23, 20214 yr Being widely reported on the main MSFS forums. It appeared to start earlier today, and seems to be occurring in many locations in the sim world. July 23, 20214 yr Yes... enroute from KLAX to KIAH, I had a TAT of +65 C and a static temperature of +40 C at FL350. It would alternate between realistic and ridiculous temps every 10 minutes or so. My A320 ran out of fuel about 300 miles short of Houston.
July 23, 20214 yr Saw this also last night on a flight from Madagascar to Mauritius. My CJ4 was struggling in the climb at FL270 upwards. Thought I had my gear or flaps out initially..... until I saw the crazy temps on the ND! July 23, 20214 yr Probably still a long way before they can properly deal with the otherwise precious feed they - ASOBO - get from meteoblue... What was on their mind I really don't know, but judging from other stuff, like in the flight dynamics modelling, it looks much of what got implemented was softly though / planned ... My hope is that after the xbox release they can finally find some time to dedicate to the various aspects of the simulation that need attention... July 23, 20214 yr Whenever I see a weather forecast product that uses Meteoblue as its source nowadays I ignore it and look for an alternative provider. That's purely because of my experience with their shonky information in MSFS. i7-10700K; RTX 2070 Super; 16GB; P3Dv4.5HF3 & MSFS2020.

People tend to concentrate on "the looks" too, and completelly forget about the ffects / the feels, or do not even guess how it should feel, so for most users it's probably great as it is right now... I've been using Meteoblue as a source ( among others ) for my real life soaring fights, and it has proven to be a valuable and helpful source of forecast data. It has some really good aviation weather products that you can try in the trial version or as a registered user. One thing is Meteoblue, other thing is Meteoblue feeding MFS, and yet another thing is ASOBO sorting out how to properly deal with stuff they probably never really understood, but I hope are now trying to... Everyone can learn, but stuborness can make stuff more difficult to ingest... and I believe it applies also to other areas of MFS, like... flight and systems modelling... July 23, 20214 yr Furthermore, if you check Meteblue maps, temps at high altitude are correct, conferming that the problem is on Asobo side. Meteoblue is a top-notch organisation for weather forecast. Edited July 23, 20214 yr by Jeeeno
July 23, 20214 yr Author Temps back to normal. Appreciate others cross checking information with me. Happy Landings,

July 26, 20214 yr hi All For past couple of days weather temps and winds speeds aloft have been fairly accurate. Today while enroute with everything normal I suddenly lost all winds aloft and temps at 34000 ft are now showing TAT +46 SAT +26 and ISA +78. Looks like they broke it again. Hope this isnt a sign of things to come. sigh Currently flying from Miami to KLAX and just west of Houston Don System Intel core I9-10900.Asus prime Z490P motherboard, Corsair 32gb ddr4 dram, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HD.
