Yeah I'm one hour in the update and I have 25%. Best thing to do is probably to wait til tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm just glad the patch download went on through without killing the entire installation or something (this happened to me after the very first sim update in 2020). It's all fine and on my disk, and I guess the servers will be up again tomorrow. When I start the sim now, it just says that online services are disabled.

I'm at 46% but the last 6% has taken nearly an hour slowed to crawl started very good in the 70 Mbits/s

I’ve given up. Got to about 45% but at the rate it’s going it’s not worth continuing. I’ll download it tomorrow when things have calmed down

Try disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows settings.

Why? No reason to. It’s nothing to do with any of that, that’s just rabbit holes for no meaningful outcome.
I can’t say how or why I know, as it’s still NDA bound.
The CTD’s are caused by the sim, and are here to stay until the next update.

@turbomax was being sarcastic

xbox users must learn the basics of using the E6-B before any downloads can be granted, it was the only instrument we were allowed to bring for the written test, not even an electronic calculator was allowed (because batteries can fail in the cockpit :-). at least this is how private pilot license tests were conducted just 20 years ago. by the time any xbox user has finished the basic 3-5 beginners books and understands the use of the E6-B, we "elite" pc users will long be finished downloading, ready to complain about the new update.

p.s. I never thought an englishman would ever ask me about sarcasm, I thought they invented it 🙂
