At this rate it is going to take me a week to download this because I am not going to leave my GPU running at this pace for 50 hours. Not impressed. There's definitely a bug in the installation routine if the GPU is thrashing on the update page. I noticed this on the initial install last year and thought it may have been something on my system...guess it's more widespread.

The in-game menus have always spun up my GPU since the beginning, but it seems like it was even worse this time. I had 100% GPU Load, 395 W, and thermal throttling in the menus now. Asobo, there's no need for this in the menus. Please fix it? I feel you bro...but why would GPU usage be at 98% in a downloading process...is this a bug or what? my GPU usage is at 10% Edited July 27, 20214 yr by emsss78 CPU: 7800X3D | RAM: 64GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo CL32 | Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4090 OC

I found the answer on the official forums and yet again a massive FacePalm appears, how can Asobo be so backwards that they don't have a specific Bug Reporting System that lists Fixed items which can be easily shared to create a simple List?! it's 2021 FFS not 1982! There is no detailed Release notes this time. I understandi what you meant. The team focused on optimizing the sim the past couple of months. The list of each changes would have take days/weeks to gather. Be sure that future updated will have detailed Release notes! This isn't the menus - the hangar is rendered in real time in the background which is why the GPU spins up there. This is referring to the update screens which pop back into windowed mode.
