That's one extensive list. Tempted to invest in tier 2 and collect some sound packages. Is the fidelity comparable to AudiobirdXP's package for the 737?

That sounds like an AMD 5000 or 6000 series GPU in Windows in OpenGL mode. In that case, it's AMD's fault for not optimizing its OpenGL driver enough.

I grow more frustrated every day with XP11. It has nothing to do with the aircraft or flight dynamics. It's about an really old rendering pipeline that run like word not allowed on modern hardware anytime you are above 1080p resolution. My PC is as beast and only 28% of my GPU is in used when I load the FJS 727-300 at CYVR. I am only getting 28fps on the ground. Maybe i'll get in the 40fps while flying.

I don't know what your hardware is but this doesn't sound normal to me.

For example here are some timings on a 9700K+2070S:

This is not a complex aircraft and you haven' told me at what resolution you are running at. I assure you, my system is not the issue.

This is with the default Baron 58 as well, but with 2 Garmins running (and you can see they don't take much anyhow).

No I haven't told the resolution because the image is unresized, and it is in a window. In other words for this screenshot, it is running at the same size as the screenshot!

NB: this is (2950 x 1297) which is more than 1K anyhow, the limit above which you're noticing a reduction of perf.

You might want to open the plugin admin and look what plugin is taking the most performance (this was the primary reason I've shared this screenshot, but I should have been more explicit I agree).

Menu Plugins > Plugin Admin

NB: this is the window displaying in the center of my screenshot. It tells you exactly how much frame time each plugin is taking, including XP11 frame time.

I am familiar with this window. I just don't have time right now but in a hour or so, I'll post a screenshot of it.

@fogboundturtle
It clearly shows where the bulk of your FPS are going here: SkyMaxx Pro is taking more than 5ms per frame.

As for the 727 it is taking nearly 3ms of the frame time as well, which probably is a little too high.

I'll have to cross check how much takes the Zibo 737 on my system as a comparison (I don't have the 727)

I don't really have any alternative to decent cloud without Skymaxx Pro and default cloud on XP11 are just plain awful.

It's frustrating to see my hardware barely getting used and having such low FPS. This is what I want for XP12. I want them to focus on the rendering engine. Take advantage of modern hardware.  It's all I am asking.  The rest is fine.  I can live with autogen. It's not a big deal.

Its a common mistake, everyone thinks there PC is a beast, and than they load up a flight sim ,and very quickly the beast is tamed.

I would say yes. For example the FF Boeings got new life with those sounds.

I have Skymax Pro but just can't run it unless I am prepared to put up with a ridiculously small cloud draw distance. I just use  default clouds breathed on by X-Vision.

The current X-Plane cloud technology is very heavy on the CPU - just like most other stuff is. This will make X-Plane underperform in comparison with every other modern simulator, from DCS to WarThunder to MSFS.

There is light at the end of that tunnel, though 😉
