Overexposed Cartoon Game

I set the sim back to NON-HDR (SDR) mode and the colors do appear to be washed out, especially the clouds. The very bright part of the clouds seems to be overexposed thus losing detail in them. I feel as though they're trying to give players who don't have HDR capable displays the fake HDR look.

Nice repaint, where can I get it?

Agreed. It looks just like Flight Sim World now! 🥴

I thought the exact same thing earlier. Funny. Hah!

Good question.  I found these,  haven't tried them yet.    Looks like the same exact scheme,  but I can't find the teal version.

They look pretty awesome though.   Off to try them out.

The repaint is based off the links that Waldo posted up above. The one in my screenshot is my own modified one.

Actually, idk what to think anymore. I'm torn. Sometimes the new SU5 lighting can look super real. I think the problem is the overexposed clouds. It's hard to put an eye on it though. You guys be the judge.

So,  the classic versiona of the 172 paints are missing a small texture on the dash where the ELT switch is.    The 172 G1000 paints are fine.

Could you show me what you’re missing?

Give me a minute,  I'll reinstall one.   It's on the panel,  on the right side,   near the co2 detector sticker.

I like the new lighting. However, I agree, clouds have taken a hit overall, hard to say what it is exactly, but they're deteriorated. Among others, I observed green-pinkish seams under some situations.

I hope clouds will be restored to the state before the update at a point.

Kind regards, Michael

So this "hideous patch" just turned into a very good patch? That's better.

I can delete an item from the list, but that's because I own an HDR compatible monitor, not everyone does.

it looks ok for me too, i do not have a hdr monitor, but i play on e television screen, i find the picturu quality better than on a monitor.

the clouds can look a bit washed out under certain conditions yes, but not a big issue for me.

overall i find it looking quite naturalistic.

The clouds are washed out.  Also the light and dark areas are flat and lack definition.
