Overexposed Cartoon Game

The clouds are washed out.  Also the light and dark areas are flat and lack definition.

To be fair looking out of my window the clouds on the right side above do look exactly like outside my window. Like it was a photo.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I've always wanted to lower it a bit especially when it's blue skies and sun only as a lof the time, it's just a bit much. It would be nice if you could lower it in a setting. Sadly I don't have an HDR monitor so I can't try that out.

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

I set the sim back to NON-HDR (SDR) mode and the colors do appear to be washed out, especially the clouds. The very bright part of the clouds seems to be overexposed thus losing detail in them. I feel as though they're trying to give players who don't have HDR capable displays the fake HDR look.

Those don't look washed out on my screen. They actually look very good

Yes, but I still think the overexposed clouds needs work. They look worse than SU4. Some of the clouds seem to look worse to me also.

Waldo, thanks for posting that!

Looking at the default livery which doesn't have that error,   it's appears to be a rocker switch for the ELT.    (Emergency Locator Transmitter)

Just to the right is a CO2 sticker pad,  that changes color in the presence of Carbon Monoxide.

I can delete an item from the list, but that's because I own an HDR compatible monitor, not everyone does.

I don't have an HDR monitor and don't have any problem. Just the clouds seem to have a little more bloom than before.

I can confirm, from up at some altitude looking down is realy worse and more worse in betwin to the last Build - but I think a price has to be paid for the performance and smootness we got ; must come from somewhere !

You don't get anything for free, everything has a price..

Looks good to me! I have not had any issues as far as the color goes, but I do use a 48" LG C1 OLED with HDR. Only issue I have is the KPHX terminals are transparent.

Clouds have always been random in shape and color when using real weather whatever the version of the update. In this update there is an improvement in visual diversity using real weather although it is not always perfect.Clouds especially lack a higher resolution and more transparency. In any case, flying in 4k with my old PC at 90% in ultra whatever the situation is completely incredible.Go watch MSFS videos on youtube with the xbox Series x on Oled tv it's a visual slap.
