So.. has SU5 HF2 cured the Temp bugs ?

Featured Replies

... or do you still get irrealistic "T" at altitude ?

What about the "pressure altitude" bug ?

I was flying over Greece with HF1 at 8000 feet and SAT was 45 C. Today is 17. Taking into account that that part of the planet is roasting right now, it looks good to me.

Looks good regarding the temp spikes so far ...

Haven't tried it myself yet, but since no one's complaining about it anymore over in the MSFS forums, I'd say high temps are cured.

I am doeing a LIVE Weather flight at the moment and until yet everthing is OK about that; i reply back as i finished this flight if i get problems ! ( with hotfix 2 )

Completed 2 flights at FL340. On a third climbing past FL310 on the way to FL350. All good so far.

‘Fingers crossed this doesn’t come back again.

Yes, all good so far, as long as you don't  use FS2020's internal ATC. It keeps hollering that you are at the wrong altitude.

It wasn't just the internal ATC, I use PF3 for my ATC and it kept reporting my altitude as off by 1000 feet, after SU5.  I finally adusted PF3 so the warning happens only after 1,000 feet.

I flew YVR-YYC in the A320 and had no temperature anomalies.

Fly with a Simbriefplan than you never get wrong altitude warnings..

I do use Simbrief plans. Apparently FS2020's ATC doesn't mind at all what kind of flight plans are being used. Moreover, during my EDDK-LEVC flight FPS was dropping drastically. Something (I don't know what) happened halfway enroute and FPS went back from ~50 to an average of 17 FPS.

Later:

Duh....It's even being mentioned in the releasenotes for this hotfix:

KNOWN ISSUE

  • In-sim ATC service radar can still report incorrect altitude (fix expected in world Update 6)

Yes my flight CYVR-CYYC last night was using Simbrief and ATC still thought I was at a different altitude.

Well,

couldn't resist and reinstalled it 🙂

Been testing and indeed:

1) No high temps at alt

2) Apparently with Rw Weather, pressure altitude bug is fixed !
