I don't have the SSD space (sheeesh I've used up 1 TB almost already between leftover XP11, Call of Duty and MSFS). | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 8, 20214 yr Instead I believe someone at Microsoft ate too many frankfurters before designing this WU6 update process. Thought it halfway through and then had to leave to take care of inflating personal issues.... September 8, 20214 yr Author Yeah it was too dark. In FS, there's some very nice POI's to see in Yosemite, and along the Nile. But for one sight for sore eyes after another, beautiful downtown Frankfurt! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. You may be right but it would be odd if an exact representation of something by two different developers did not look much the same, wouldn't it? Not to mention this from the release notes. Of course, to be able to read these, one has to own and use MSFS. Edited September 8, 20214 yr by Reader

Reminds me of this that an ATC friend shared that is related to Frankfurt from the 70:ies (?) - from http://www.eaa67.org/Miscellaneous/jokes.htm: The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206. Speedbird 206: "Frankfurt, Speedbird 206 clear of active runway." Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven." The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop. Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?" Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now." Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?" Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes, twice in 1944, but it was dark, -- And I didn't land." A classic - I was thinking of putting it up myself before I saw you'd beaten me to it!
September 8, 20214 yr …. and the other classic…. Frankfurt Radio is very busy and a Lufty pilot finally snaps on the RT- “I am a German pilot, flying for a German airline, at a German airport in Germany. Why am I forced to speak in English?” Theres no hesitation, but a very British voice comes over to say, “Because you lost the war, Old Boy,” A moments silence followed… Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
