I've sent off a quick tweet to Just Flight to see if they will be sellling it as well

Ah sorry, I didn't realise you could also buy direct from Airplane Heaven - looks to avoid the VAT ?

Always buy Direct if you can, that way you normaly get any updates first. Also the makers get more $...

I would buy from orbx but £5 is £5...🙂

I might wait to see whether JF do it as their £ prices can sometimes be weirdly low and they also have the cashback scheme.
But failing that going direct definitely seem the best option
🙂

Edit - JF will be selling it but may not have it up till next week.

I will probably grab the Orbx version for ease of updates.  Orbx Central is pretty flawless for me with updating everything.

Meanwhile the main complaint on main forums seems to be lack of videos on the home page 😄

Speaking of videos - that English VR guy does have a review of sorts:

Thanks Glenn for linking that. I hope/sure the missing sounds will be now added.

SOLD!

Question?

Am I right in thinking that the MKI needs hand pumping to lower and raise the landing gear?

Details I'll be after ...

Temperature rise with flaps lowered and during longish ground rolls in non-cold days, pitch down with flaps down, that traditional elevator down ( leading hinge seen up looking over the tail ) at cruise trim settings, heaviness of roll with "q" opposed to the very light elevator forces throughout the typical range of speeds, etc...

Have they been able to overcome there being actually no free-castoring tailwheels modeled in MFS ?  What about braking - being asymmetric, with application of the stick lever + rudder ?

Is this the 3rd Spitfire for MSFS so far?

I don't own any of them, which one would be the best?

Thank you, nr. 2 and 3 is probably this one because I saw the previews / teaser on youtube a few months ago.

Looking forward to seeing some testing.

Excellent, I was holding off on buying a spitfire until this one was released so I could read some comparisons from those who buy both.

I already have the Flying Iron one, and will buy this one as well.  I suppose I am lucky I can afford it, but also, they will be different enough between the mk1a and the mk11.
I consider the mk1a to be the classic spitfire really.  The mk11 I almost consider as a separate aircraft!

It is good to compare the changes and how the aircraft developed over the years as well, so I don't have a problem with getting different versions if they are fairly accurate.
Key to me will be the sounds.  The Flying Iron still seemed to have a bit of a step in the sound on throttle up last time I tried it.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Well ... just buy the c140 and Spitfire and that will encourage them to get moving on the bigger long term projects 😄

I'm sure they don't my encouragement.  A lot of sim pilots are ready to encourage them with $$.
