I will demo when I get home tonight but from what I am reading to make compatible with XVision one should use a non-lua preset?  Instead of Impressive for lua just use impressive and then disable scattering/fog/clouds options in XVision?

Is this plug-in compatible with UWXP? Tried to look for an answer myself, but I am away from home so the demo couldn’t help me. So curious… Sorry

I think it is only compatible with ASXP.    I switched to Reshade to get a good look back using the Blvxed preset.  However will see how my Xvision works too.  Not done that yet.

This is really a game changer for X plane weather.  I love this plugin with Active Sky XP.  The dev is super responsive on his discord if you have any questions or issues Paulvanuf.  It is a real bargain at 15.00 USD.  Oh by the way there is a free demo you can use first.

Cheers!

No, UWXP is a cloud rendering plugin not a weather provider. It works with NOAA for XP, ActiveSky, any other plugin that provides separate weather data to the simulator.

I must be doing something wrong but I just cannot get it to work with XVision (Nordic preset). I get a CTD on loading the flight. Has any one managed to do so? Maybe it needs a custom preset to be written but that's beyond me. It works with Active Sky but I'm yet to see more than one cloud layer or any cirrus. I'll maybe try a fresh install of XP.

I can confirm I am getting 3 layers and it looks pretty good for initial impressions.

I'm using the Impressive solution but disabled scattering/fog/clouds.  However, I've not had a crash except when I rapidly changed time of day (using a hotkey).  But I've had that happen before using just Xvision.  Maybe there's something with the Nordic solution.  Be sure not to use the Lua script.

I was at home for lunch so no time for flight but I took the free camera up and there were three distinct layers at the elevations reported in the metar from ASXP.  I think it's hard to tell layers from the ground perspective as they will blend in as you look up.

Well it's a job to say. The lighting and shadows are non existent. Not a great screenshot to be honest. The ground textures and the lighting are just rubbish. Check out the building! Lol. Too little too late imo. Roll on XP12.

One thing I forgot to check was whether these clouds cast ground shadows.  I won't be able to check until later.  Maybe someone else can confirm.

From my pic above they are either very faint or non-existent which would be a bummer.

ES never intended to change lighting or shadows though - so I have no idea why you think ES is to blame for that. Either case, it is indeed too little and maybe too late, given X-Plane 12 will definitely look better than what I have implemented. But it is something, something that I have spent my 2 years on, hence I find your "rubbish" and "small puddle of rubbishy clouds" remarks very unfair.
