November 24, 20214 yr Interesting; however I first saw this behavior before SU7 (and before the Nxi 0.9.0). I can hear the click of the button depress when I push it, but the autopilot won't re-engage. Prior to the problem occurring, I don't have any trouble pushing any button. So I don't think it's a "click on the button" issue. It really seems that at some point in the flight, after the autopilot is turned off, it sort of ceases to exist anymore. Andrew Crowley

December 13, 20214 yr So, I've been continually seeing this issue with the autopilot refusing to re-engage, after it's been engaged/disengaged a couple times. The AP button animates when I mouse-click it, but the autopilot will not turn back on. Z button on keyboard will not turn it back on either. This happens reliably, on every flight after the autopilot has been turned on and off a few times. I usually see it on flights where I'm practicing multiple instrument approaches. The folks on the Working Title Discord say that the sim tells them when the autopilot is on and not the other way around, so it's unlikely to be an NXi issue. Thoughts? Would there be a more appropriate place to make the bug report? Thanks! Andrew Crowley

What I haven't tested and now wish I had, is just engaging / disengaging the autopilot repeatedly in a short amount of time. So I guess it's possible that the cause could just be time; the longer the flight runs the more likely it is? I'll look at that next time I'm in the sim too. Andrew Crowley

December 16, 20214 yr Using the latest NXi version with this aircraft (Rob's Turbo) is now giving me a CTD when the FLP button is pressed. It doesn't happen immediately - on my first flight the CTD occurred about 10 minutes in. I tried again with the same flight plan and the CTD occurred at about 50 min. in when I pressed the FLP button. I removed the NXi and flew the flight plan with the GTN750 and had no issues. I guess I'll have to forego flying this aircraft with the NXI until the next update? Randall Rocke

December 16, 20214 yr I can clearly link it to Rob's mod and the NXi (and my installation/system). I'm having no issues with the NXi and other aircraft such as the C172 and the 208B (though I'm experiencing other issues with the 208B). I have added a report on the Discord channel Edited December 16, 20214 yr by RandallR Randall Rocke

December 17, 20214 yr Quote I have completed 36 flights, 85 hours, with the Turbo Bonanza and NXi since November 1st (2021) after this latest Turbo update. That without any CTD issues. Open the "hidden contents" pane below for my log (MS Excel) entries, I would not still be flying it like this if I had the stated issue. Have you tried removing both and then reinstalling them? Thanks - I'm not doubting you or others that have had no issues. When the last update took place I was in a series of flights using the GTN750 (including using it on the RY Turbo in its latest iteration). Last week I activated the new NXi and began a series of flights with other aircraft and had no issues, until I fired up the G36 Turbo. After losing almost 90 minutes on 2 flight attempts, I gave up and went back to the 750. Are you saying I should redownload Rob's mod? Randall Rocke
December 18, 20214 yr I can now report that after removing the Turbo mod and replacing it with a new downloaded copy, removing, then reinstalling the NXi and removing and reinstalling Navigraph I have successfully finished my first post SU7 flight in Rob's G36/NXi successfully. Everything went smoothly except after touchdown, where she proceeded to veer wildly about the runway. It's really a bummer that now the most challenging portions of a flight are before rotation and after touchdown... Randall Rocke

It's really a bummer that now the most challenging portions of a flight are before rotation and after touchdown... I can concur. And my ground handling experience is much more MSFS, crosswind, or airport-specific. Over 160 of my last 180 logged MSFS hours has been in RYTB (Rob Young Turbo Bonanza). That is over 60 flight segments. I have had handling issues both on takeoff roll and landing roll out during that period, but they are absolutely not consistent. Here is an example. My flights are a continuous sequence. On return to Indiana from a recent west coast trip, one of the legs I flew was from Amarillo, Tx, to Tulsa, Ok. I landed at Tulsa with a freeware KTUL on 36L and all was normal. The next morning, same addon KTUL in use, I started out from R26. On takeoff roll I could not keep the RYTB on the runway. I was wildly off the runway to the right. I restarted the flight. Same result. So I exited and restarted MSFS and tried again. Same result again. I then reloaded the flight and started a takeoff from 18R. Same problem with wild veer to the right. totally exited MSFS. I use the Addons Linker and only position those addons I be using on a particular day. I unloaded the addon KTUL I had been using. Then I restarted MSFS and from the default MSFS KTUL took off from 26 without any issues with takeoff roll or after rotation. At one of my common destinations, MSFS default KCPS, St Louis, Mo. Downtown, I have experienced similar ground handling issues on 12R/30L. Upon landing or on takeoff roll. Baron G58, DA62, Bonanza G36, and RYTB. And it is not every takeoff or landing, and it is obviously not in one aircraft model. I could attribute the landing roll outs perhaps to not-so-smooth crosswind landings, but that would not explain the takeoff rolls. And on landing roll outs I have consistently found that braking to a complete stop eliminates the issues. I can then taxi on without issues. So it would then not appear to be due to damage.
