It was released a few days ago and is experiencing an issue with not tightly following during turns the AP following SIDs, STARs, and GPS approaches. Robert is working on it. Aspects of V4 show very nice improvements in handling both on the ground and in the air. There are links in the first message in this topic if you wish to try it out. November 4, 20214 yr As an interim solution, I have copied over the [Autopilot] section in the systems.cfg file from the V3 version. Seems better to me, but Rob is still working on it.. Edited November 4, 20214 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

Seems better to me, but Rob is still working on it.. I was looking at the differences in the [Autopilot] sections yesterday and noticed V4 uses a default bank mode of 3, and there is no default bank mode entered in V3. I thought that was interesting, but don't really know anything about the different MSFS default bank modes. My overall impression was V4 was more 'aggressive' wrt to bank (max bank, max bank acceleration). The other biggest differences percentage-wise seem to involve some of the pitch settings, but it seems tracking a Nav course would be more of a bank than pitch issue. November 4, 20214 yr Setting up an AP is a tricky business to say the least. The AP is typically based on a PID feedback control system and the AP parameters (PID coefficients) interact in the sense that what fixes one aspect of the AP often messes up another aspect. Optimization is difficult! Al Edited November 4, 20214 yr by ark

November 5, 20214 yr A true joy to fly this Bonanza, many thanks for your work Robert. One thing I noticed, there are a few LOD's missing in the model folder. In drone view when I move away a little the interior turns pink (untextured). Only the pilot stays textured, I think because he has a different model? Kind regards

November 6, 20214 yr I'm no expert on this, but from my experience the red line is what is off. If I don't try to correct the heading when it makes a sharp turn at a way point to get back on the line, it eventually makes the turn and gets back on the red line. And yes. I still have had instances where it just keeps on going. Missing the way point doesn't bother me as much as when it misses the approach glideslope. These two may be related. I've also had it go right through the altitude I have set and just keep on climbing. But that's another subject. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
November 6, 20214 yr Roy- the Magenta issue is being worked on furiously as we write, and there will be a fix forthcoming. Sometimes we create the issue ourselves by not managing energy (a la SPD INTV on big jets), but there is indeed room to improve there. As far as the ALT SEL, in hundreds of hours of testing I have never had her bust altitude... are you sure this did not happen with another mod (perhaps the G1000) still residual? November 6, 20214 yr Glad to see fix is coming. Speed not a problem. I've only flown the Cessna 152 and 172. Low and slow. Just yesterday moved up to the new Bonanza. Altitude thing was probably pilot error. I'm still learning. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
