One wishes this MOD cold coexist active in MSFS along Robert Yong's Turbo Mod V4.1 post SU6. I mean as if those were 2 different aircrafts (which they are). I wonder if you can build that in a future version of this MOD. Best regards a nd thanks for your dedication to share your work with the community !!!! Regards Hey @wlix261 Thanks for the kind words. 🙂 In regard the mods coexisting, I've reached out to Rob via PM to see if there is a way we could work together in looking at ways to make the mods coexist, but I understand and respect his wishes that the mods stay seperate so this might not happen. If he doesn't want to collaborate I'll see what we can do our end once we are feature complete. I'm sorry I can't give a better answer. 1 hour ago, robcap said: Hi, Great work on the mod. Like it a lot. Few things, (maybe not in your scope, but Asobo's). The stand-by ASI is not displaying the correct airspeed. And, can you maybe change the moving prop texture, so it is more transparent? Cheers, Rob Hey @robcap Thanks! The ASI bug has been logged with Asobo and I hope for a fix at the next update. 🤞 There is a prop mod on Flightsim.to which I use, hoepfully some help for you? https://flightsim.to/file/20431/vr-friendly-prop-mod-for-asobo-bonanza Regards Matt Flying since the early days of 386’s! 😀 Web developer, sailor, nerd. November 10, 20214 yr Author Thought I’d give you a sneak peak on building some POH material for the mod. This will be included in our ingame panel which will be used to manage the mod. Just spent a few hours flying around Cornwall testing cruise speeds at ISA, an average of 10 runs to get good data - riveting stuff! 🤣 Think we have it pretty close to the numbers! At most we are 2knts out when at 25" / 2500rpm & 20°C rich of peak. Now to do 10 iterations of 23/23 to get a good average… Flying since the early days of 386’s! 😀 Web developer, sailor, nerd. November 18, 20214 yr Author HI All, I’m really pleased to announce 0.6.6 Beta 3 - Compatible with Sim Update 7. New! The Bonanza G36 Improvement Project is now listed as it’s own aircraft in the menu rather than overwriting the default aircraft. (please see livery note) In theory this should allow our aircraft and the turbo mod to coexist. New! Aircraft Persistence; all switches and fuel tanks are saved between flights New! Aircraft Persistence; saves for different liveries - have multiple Bonanzas in your fleet all with different personalities New! Beginnings of the Bonanza Hangar; currently an empty panel window, but basis for next beta release. You will be able to manage your aircraft here, check for spark fouling, oil changes and more. Reworked Engine performance figures: after more than 30hrs of testing and tweaking, the engine performance figures match the POH as close as we can get them. Our old changes were starting to be a bit over-powered and fuel burns were too efficient in SU7. TAS is within 0.22kts on average across the altitude spectrum and fuel flow within 1g/h. Aircraft has been validated by our real Bonaza pilots, thank you for your time in testing! Fixed: NXi Engine System Page spacing Fixed: Aircraft getting stuck on the ground. Changed nose height on gear to reflect reference pictures, increased nose gear damping affect Fixed: Missing registration anied ASI error (Thankyou Bert Pieke!) Please note: liveries for the bonanza will not work for our mod and will need some changes; I will add instructions as soon as possible. https://github.com/TheFrett/msfs_g36_project/tree/development Edited November 18, 20214 yr by CaptMatto Flying since the early days of 386’s! 😀 Web developer, sailor, nerd. November 22, 20214 yr Author Getting Liveries to Work As you all know in Beta 3 we have now made our mod it's own aircraft rather than modifying the base version. This was done for a number of reasons, the first: it allows us to move into working on parts of the exterior/interior modelling, undertaking deeper systems modelling, and creating our hangar module; and secondly it helps with fixing the conflict with the Turbo Mod as well. I reached out to Rob Young to see if he was interested in working together to get the two mods to co-exist but didn't get a response. If you use his excellent mod as well as ours could you let me know all is well with the two co-existing? It would be great to allow people to use both. With this change it does mean that liveries and text changes made to the default G36 won't work straight out the box and will require some editing to make work with our aircraft. Instructions on how to make liveries and/or textures to work are shown below: For Aircraft Liveries 1. Download the livery as you would normally and install following the authors instructions. 1. Once installed, locate the **aircraft.cfg** file in the livery mod folder and open in a text editor. 1. Locate the line: `base_container = "..\Asobo_Bonanza_G36"` and rename this to `base_container = "..\Bonanza_G36_Improvement_Project"` not forgetting to save. 1. Locate the **model.cfg** file in the livery model folder and open in a text editor. 1. Locate the line: `exterior=../../Asobo_Bonanza_G36/model/Bonanza_g36.xml` and rename this to `exterior=../../Bonanza_G36_Improvement_Project/model/Bonanza_g36.xml` 1. Locate the line: `interior=../../Asobo_Bonanza_G36/model/Bonanza_g36_interior.xml` and rename this to `interior=../../Bonanza_G36_Improvement_Project/model/Bonanza_g36_interior.xml` 1. Update the layout.json file to reflect any changes to folder structure etc 1. Load the sim and check the livery is working For mods that change things like cockpit textures or panel textures etc the instructions are slightly different. 1. Download the texture pack as you would normally and install following the authors instructions. 1. Locate the aircraft folder in `Community\your new texture mod folder name \SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Bonanza_G36` 1. Change the `Asobo_Bonanza_G36` name to `Bonanza_G36_Improvement_Project` 1. Update the layout.json file to reflect the folder structure change. 1. Load the sim and check the livery is working Hopefully these instructions help, essentially you need to change the reference to Asobo_Bonanza_G36 to Bonanza_G36_Improvement_Project wherever you find it. You may also need to check the load order if the livery isn't loading into the sim. Your texture mod will need to load after our mod now - I will remove the z from our folder name for the next release. And finally, if nothing else works check the layout.json file to ensure it matches the changes you've made. Flying since the early days of 386’s! 😀 Web developer, sailor, nerd.
