December 2, 20214 yr Loving it and I just can't wait for XP12! 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
December 2, 20214 yr More from Sidney: And will get even better: Quote Yes, 3D grass is on the to do list for v12, but it won't make the 12.0 cut. The screenshots are using default textures, no extra scenery. But they are still using the v11 DSFs, so expect the mesh to change for the final release, probably also with better texture placement? Not quite sure what a v12 DSF looks like, I don't have them on my computer. Also obviously all art isn't final yet. I wouldn't expect insane changes, but the artists are probably going to tweak a couple of things here and there. Edited December 2, 20214 yr by akita

Anyway, wouldn’t want this talk of XP12’s potential to detract from the important work of debating Linux…😜 i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Yes, they did confirm weather channels to provide data for the shader about accumulation on a given art asset. Edited December 2, 20214 yr by akita

December 4, 20214 yr Maybe HAZEOBO can help LR ? Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

December 5, 20214 yr I expect better than this. Sure there are some wispy kindof clouds. But many are cumulus clouds at this altitude. And those clouds have a defined shape and outline. They are not all blurry and hazy as in the screenshot. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

The fact you aren't flying it now should inform you LR do to 😛 Still, every one they have shared so far is better than this monstrosity Which represents no cloud formation ever seen in the real world ever, due to it defying the laws of physics. December 5, 20214 yr Id expect better from people but I learned a long time ago, its best not to expect anything than you are never disappointed. 🙄

What laws of physics are those? As a CPL holder this looks acceptable to me from a flight simulator. I am not going to get into a tit-for-tat over various flight simulation platforms but you can go check out "DECEMBER 2ND, 2021 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE" from the "other one". There is no way LR can compete with this sort weekly update. Weekly. With detailed roadmaps, timelines, etc. Any of those screenshots alone would light this forum on fire. Check out the clouds there. There is an enormous amount of money paying a large number of experienced software engineers to continue pushing this forward. It isn't a knock on the LR team, they are all extremely talented but are constrained in what they can do by the complexity of flight simulation and the size of the team.
