😀😀😀

I was lucky to have flown in her twice as passenger with my jet passenger card, while I served in the Luftwaffe. An experience I will never forget in my life!! Fürstenfeldbruck west of Munich to Decimomannu, Sardinia with the Transall C 160: 3 hours, 25 minutes. Deci to Fürstenfeldbruck with the F104: 42 minutes 🙂

Good hint for a first flight ! I am sure that the ambient sound was better in the SF than in the Transall 😄 !

I have great respect for Black-Box Simulations based on what their fleet of airbuses represented in the good old fs9 days, and am rather biased towards the Buldog which was one of the first Airfix kits I assembled and actually took the time to paint ! It was a nightmare to stand on it's wheels, and I eventually had to add some ballast under the engine cowling 🙂

I will try to evaluate from the various videos already available 🙂

I could have written that sentence!

I am quite liking the Bulldog.  It flies very nicely.  I can't say more than that as I have new flown one in real life.  The visibility out of the front is great.  Glad I bought it.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

The SSW TF-104 is now available from Aerosoft if that's your preferred store.

Still waiting for Just Flight and Orbx to put it on sale though the latter does have a store page for it up now, you just can't buy it there yet

Anyone like it? Is it worth it? Can't seem to find any reviews yet. I will probably buy it eventually but I'm going to wait until Osobo fixes the VR fiasco before I spend anything more on this sim. I really do want it though.

I love that they included the restored and flight ready LN-STF Starfighter from Royal Norwegian Air Force. And that they've included the howl. Awesome.

Not sure what I don't do right. But without afterburners I'm unable to keep level attitude at around FL30th Airspeed bleeds and level flight look like on pic below

I was able to climb to FL310 under full military power (i.e. no afterburners) and maintain about 250N IAS. AOA looked similar to your pic. Seemed a bit sluggish to me but I'm too lazy to fire up P3D to compare. However, kicked in the afterburner and easily climbed to 41000 feet and after a few minutes, got to Mach 1.6.

The Bulldog has just had a minor update already - 1.0.1 - master switch adjustment and some minor coding errors fixed.

Black Box are showing they are really responsive lately.  There are still a few polygons showing on the BN-2 Islander, but they did a great job on the new sounds recently - I love flying that as well as this new Bulldog.
With these and the MilViz Porter, it's getting hard to chose which plane for a flight lately.

How do you control the loadout on the TF-104, e.g. Tip tanks?

Looks like my credit card will be taking a bashing in the next few weeks!

Just a small tweak - as my first line above - 1.0.1 - master switch adjustment and some minor coding errors fixed.

Just doing some calculations.

Looks like it's about 5 bucks Canadian cheaper for the 104 if you buy it from Aerosoft compared to Orbx. Orbx charges the Canadian sales tax where Aerosoft doesn't. Worth looking into. Do your own calculations though, numbers aren't my strong suit.....
