Accessing the CM resets the Assistance Options panel to Easy when most of us set it on a customized True to Life setting. This is not about the CM itself.

This is late Sunday afternoon in Europe, the day starts on the West coast and is already advanced on the East coast, I suppose that MS serves are sweating to keep up with the demand.

My initial observation of this latest version is that the VNAV function works just it should--without having to select Approach mode.

I've seen the magenta altitude (upper right on the PFD) change to the next step down constraint, as the autopilot initiates a proper descent to that next altitude--all the way to the runway. 

For some reason,  my sim crashes every other flight so further testing will be necessary,  but that is what I'm seeing today.

  I saw for the first time (which doesn't say much btw as I fumble through the whole thing 😁) in 9.2 the vnv frame filled with a ToD and a fpm for a 3°slope. Coincidence ?

I think the WT G1000NXi has one of the best working VNAV functions out of any plane or GPS. It's an absolute must-have as far as Im concerned.

The manual speaks of a reversionary mode to allow that, see page 10. I can’t activate it as I do not have the vertical menu bar on the Porter with the red button.

it seems to be implemented in dev, i saw it on WT discord yesterday. reversionnary during boot sequence and also if the MFD is switched off.

I've avoided updating my Nxi because of the "Easy Mode" bug but it was still there when I checked a minute ago in the 172. I had version 0.9.

Now updated and "Easy Mode" was turned on again.

It reminds me of a bug back in the Alpha days where one of the builds would reset your controller bindings every time you started the sim. It got so annoying that I settled for just using the default bindings even though it seemed like they were done by an intern that randomly assigned functions to buttons.

Now THIS looks promising... a teaser of user-defined VNAV constraints!

the NXI is much more powerful than the current version of the GTN. Until the GTN devs figure out a way of making the trainer inject into MSFS, the current gtn is more just a visual upgrade for the existing planner etc imo. Some nice benefits as well and the interface is better (be nice if RXP can ever figure out how to get it to run) but as far as navigation goes the NXI is better at it, thanks to the redesigned navigation maths, AP etc included with it.

Ahhh...its Content Manager that does that...it is annoying...I wont go in there unless I have too! Thanks for the tips. At least I've updated the Nxi.....
