5.3 is great......I am very curious about how they will proceed with a major release any time in future

Nice to see this! I'll probably wait till Activesky has a stable release going before installing, but good to see PBR is being expanded futher into the scenery realm

PUT In the UK.

Active sky has used several weeks to test it's stuff on P3D betas...... :-). Works good.....

Also I would recommend to use PBR ground textures and trees! I can't imagine ORBX will update these to PBR....

Looks like a really nice release. Right on schedule, too.

I wonder what triggered all the road traffic improvements all of a sudden, lol. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Version: P3Dv5.4, P3Dv6  CPU: Core i7-13700K @ 5.5 GHz with HT on,  GPU: RTX 3080 12GB,  RAM: 32GB DDR-5MONITOR: 32" 4K with G-Sync enabled, OS: Win10 22H2, Target Frame Rate: P3D 120, NCP Max Frame Rate 35.

Wow, a pretty substantial update.

"Program threads including the main and rendering thread can now be specified to run on a different logical processor."

Looking forward to see how performance is!

I would love to try it but don't think FSLabs will be compatible

10900KF @ 5.2Ghz, 2070 Super, 32GB 3200Mhz, Gigabyte M28U 4K Monitor - MSFS: Terrain LOD: 200, Object LOD: 100

More PBR = more vram needed?

13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber  - MSFS 2024

This works really great. I have tested on a 10900k and have set my main thread to core 9 (last one) and render thread to core 7.....Super smooth as these cores are not really used by windows other Programms......

Not really. VRAM was very low and has not increased really ...(<200mb at my end as increase)

That's great news I also have a 10900K, I've been disabling HT in BIOS before using P3D, so I wonder whether this updates mean I no longer have to do that!

Don't forget to update AI Lights Reborn Pro to version 1.36 in order to make it compatible with P3D 5.3, failing to do so will result in issues with your AI lighting.

I just made the update public.. enjoy.

Argh really tempted to update, but I know that means I can't fly the Airbus.

Does anyone know if the PMDG suite of aircraft are compatible please?

Yes that is exactly possible. Assign an AM with that the cores will be assigned. And then assign the main and render core also via your P3D config.....so in fact your 10900k incl HT on, will now be used as if HT off ...and any main thread as You wish and render thread like you wish
