December 2, 20214 yr Is it me or did he tone down his original message? Sadly, I did not take a screenshot of it. Aerosoft rudeness and specifically Mr. Kok’s arrogance has drove me away as a customer. My last product purchase was the Navdata for Aerowinx PSX and I was very fearful I would need to subscribe to their NavDataPro service out of necessity. Fortunately, Navigraph will start supporting PSX in their next AIRAC cycle and will spare me the need to do business with Aerosoft. It’s sad, really, as this is mostly driven by Mr. Kok’s lack of tact when communicating with customers. I have never met the guy so I might be wrong, but judging by his posts he comes out as an unbearable character (and I’m being nice). Enrique Vaamonde

Their Airbus aircraft carry their name so they are responsible to ensuring compatibility with v5. When it comes to airports it's down to the programmer if they want to update their work. Some will, some won't. I wouldn't have thought a point release would break any airport in v5.3. I'm still using FSX airports and they work fine albeit in a rudimentary way. I have both EDDF and LIMC from SimMarket which are both Aerosoft products. The blurb for both says v4/v5 compatible so you should be fine. I'm not aware of any other versions for P3D. Yes, I imagine they should function ok, certainly I've used FSX scenery back in v4 that has worked fine. I'll probably grab them next time they're on sale. I would expect they would keep their Busses compatible as well, though mine have mostly sat in the hanger gathering dust so I guess it won't impact me hugely. PUT In the UK. December 2, 20214 yr I agree that AS is not a major player/developer on the P3D Scene. In the meantime their airports are fully compatible with V5 and I'm happy with it. Yes, future products might be problematic such as long-awaited LFPG. for example. But who knows. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
December 2, 20214 yr I for one am waiting to see what happens with MSFS. I've bought it (at a sale price) but won't be installing it until basic functions like ATC and weather depiction are confirmed as fixed to a reasonable standard. Until then, there's no point even considering it. PMDG starting to release MSFS products will be a watershed moment as there's no way they will expose their reputation to a dodgy simulator. Once they are convinced it's stable enough not to tarnish what they do so well then we'll have to think about it. What I will say is I'll still remember Aerosoft. I have a lot of P3D V4 products that have become abandonware and they won't do it to me again if I can avoid it. If that's the level of their commitment to their customers and their products then I'll buy elsewhere if I can and I'd advise you to do so too.

They sell more product on MSFS than they ever did in a lifetime in other platform. It sucks for P3D but can you really blame them ? https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
December 2, 20214 yr Aerosoft does release some good stuff from time to time, but they seem to follow very heavily were the market is only rather than enthusiasm. Truth is that MSFS is mainly catered for casual gamers on the xbox consoles rather than serious airliner flying on VATSIM/IVAO. And this means that those people won't be able to fly any complex simulations from their controllers nor want to. This will result in Aerosoft and other developers to release bad quality payware (at least not as complex as we are used to), and yet people on the MS marketplace buy it anyway. You have seen captain sim got away with their 777 with default 747 flight dynamics, bredok 3d with a rogue 737 max model with default A320 objects and knobs, and virtualcol with a generic VC. These things sell anyway, and sadly, Aerosoft and others see this and hence won't put as much effort anymore. As long as the xbox crowd is still in focus I don't think its a great idea to switch to MSFS. Who knows, it might even be good if MS abandons the updates after most bugs are fixed, as this way the xbox gets dropped and serious developers can finally begin developing on a stable version of MSFS for PC without sim updates breaking them every few months. 52 minutes ago, G-YMML1 said: Well...it's matter of opinion. The textures are also high definition and it's designed well enough that there is no significant shimmering like in some Aerosoft sceneries such as Simwings LEMD or MK-Design EFHK.

I don't know why you get the impression that Xbox is their focus. They haven't released 1 addon on the xbox platform yet. Aerosoft has only release content for the PC version of MSFS. I am having a hard time understanding your logic here. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

I was happy with MSFS before Sim update 5 ruined it, which was also the time when this program was released for console. After this happened, I came back to P3D.

They have more to loose than Lockheed Martin as they are not a multi-billion dollar defense company.

Their initial response to me was 'We sure support the product sir, we just do not do any further development on it. We also assume it will be compatible with the new P3D, we just have not tested it.' I followed this up with: 'Just to be clear, there will be no further development in terms of adding new features, but the existing product will be made compatible with V5.3?' To which they responded 'Correct Sir.' So it seems they are continuing to support the products and it will be made V5.3 compatible, but they won't be 'developing' it further in terms of adding new features. Hope this clears things up a bit! I hope this will be the case. I bought the A330 and the CRJ in the black Friday sale in the last week. If they don't work when P3D v6 comes out then so be it, but it would be a sore one if they became obsolete within a week to 10 days of purchasing them. Calum Watt
