P3d 5.3 - no haze ( unlimited visibility)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just did a full installation of v 5.3 plus the new ActiveSky Beta 8005

( cleared shaders, P3d.cfg  etc)

Noticed that my visibility is defaulted to unlimited and changing settings in AS have no effect. Everything is defaulted to unilimited. Changing VolFog settings has no effect.

This is with EA off and Custom weather mode selected in AS

Also done a complete re-install of ASN and P3d.

Anybody having this issue of am i missing something?

(5.2 HF1 works fine)

thank you

What’s worked for me is to turn EA on. Let is sit for a minute and turn EA off. Not sure why this has worked.

I am seeing the same thing. Normally distant mountains would fade into a lighter colour but without EA there is now no difference in colour right to horison. Will try switching EA on and off.

Not sure if this is a AS or P3D issue.

I've also got this problem. No haze at all, I can literally see everything all the way to the horizon.

I haven't installed 5.3 yet but the setting's according to this video provided an excellent explanation and helped me achieve what I in my case were the best results in 5.2 maybe the new install reverted a previous setting maybe they'll help here.  I'm using option 3.

Same here, with EA off I have no haze and unlimited view. Did a flight from Denver to LAX last night and the night was so clear I was able to see the glow of the Vegas lights over 100 miles away.

Same problem here. took off from DNKN with 6000M visibility, Landed at DNAA with visibility reported as 4500M. Sim showed the 6000M at DNKN, gradually became unlimited during departure and remained unlimited until landing, with the reported 4500 visibility only appearing 20mins after landing. EA on.

Just an update ... Re-installed 5.2 HF1

Everything at default -  )- Haze is back to normal.

5.3 - no haze whatsoever with EA off.  and no addons. ..everything stock.

Looks like another HF to fix this ( seems like too many lately )

Back to 5.2 indefinitely Worked fine for me  ..

Between the Orlando issue and the missing Haze I also went back to 5.2HF1.
