December 9, 20214 yr The EFB is the most impressive thing to me about ths plane. I've envisioned the idea of having modular apps just like a real iPad where you can install/delete/update them and Fenix is the very 1st developer that has finally done it! The UI/UX design on the tablet is even there, with subtle transitions that makes it behave like the real thing is absolutely outstanding. The level of detail that's gone into this is mind blowing! And you can even use the EFB on a real iPad too! I wish all EFB's were done this nicely. It looks slick and gorgeous! Unfortunately most developers don't care for aesthetics or knowledge of design. Which is why I appreciate one who not only does, but also good with the aircraft's systems, or under the hood stuff. December 9, 20214 yr Totally awesome! This is THE PLANE I am waiting for! (Until maybe a Dash 8 Q400 gets released... 😉 ). However... although a lot of folks here seem to think this plane is going to be released pretty soon I do think we won't see this Airbus before Q3 or Q4 of 2022... These blogs are absolutely great and I am a HUGE fan of those detailed video's that teach me a LOT about the Airbus but looking at the frequency of their release and reading between the lines I really don't expect being able to fly this bird anytime soon. I even wonder if they can make it happen in 2022...! Luckily we've got the FBW A32NX to keep us entertained... although that one is also coming along quite slowly... These are great times. And hard times. 😉
December 9, 20214 yr It's not the first time I see Portugal or a portuguese company referred in the videos / pictures ... In the ELEC video it surely looks like LPPD to me ? December 9, 20214 yr I never thought I would see an aircraft done to a level above my beloved FSL A320. After watching this again I feel I am getting a level D simulation for my PC. It looks like a totaly new standard is going to be set. Its bind blowing. This is not even close to the PMDG NG or FSL A320, it looks in a totaly new league on its own, far higher then anything in this class of a moden airliner in any sim. Bring it on.🙂 Edited December 9, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden. December 9, 20214 yr Its a great FPS boost for the DC-6 but be aware that its better to deselect it for other aircraft. My Porter for instance apparently doesn’t like it much. The option is still experimental, Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

When you use an existing suite to do a lot of the work it frees up resources to be able to go the extra mile, not only on systems but pretty much on everything, such as details like these. Given that most if not all developers in this hobby are a small team only, they likely just don't have the resources (money, time, personnel, etc.) to go to such lengths. I would guess using ProSim is also at least part of the reason why this aircraft seems to be taking just half or so of the time it usually takes in this industry to build something so complex. I'm not saying this to discredit Fenix's or any other developer's work btw.

Fantastic! Can I turn Dev mode back off after I select that? I just don't like the black bar at the top but if not I can live with it! Former Child, Current Adult
