I cannot see a fix is under investigation for those now frequent messages about "You're switched Offline, because your bandwidth, bla bla bla...", which happens more and more after (I think) the SU5 release (Welcome Xbox users!).

Is this a bug? Review your current bandwidth with something like Network Speed Test, are you getting what your plan tells you? Also you could maybe turn your graphics settings down to lower the network demand or ignore the warning. The message is telling you the simulator is struggling to download enough scenery to maintain detail while you are flying. Disabling rolling cache can have great benefits if you have fast bandwidth but if you don't, you really should have it enabled as scenery will progressively update and consider cache areas you frequently fly in.

3 weeks since SU7 was released, this is no longer a Hotfix but a Patch in my eyes. Most Devs I know would've dealt with this nonsense by now and communicated accordingly, either way they need to get a move on and get the Patch released, hopefully sometime this year... what's left of it!

Rushing patches out to a deadline got us into this mess in the first place. If I was Asobo I would say in my best Harry Enfield voice to MicrosoftNOOOOOOOO, it gets done when it's ready!!!! 😀 This is looking like a good patch, it would be a shame to not fix something now which they thing is fixed or worst still break something new.

I'd usually agree with you, but it may well of made sense to simply release more than one Hotfix like they have done in the past. I'm glad they're working on it, but it seems they've made such a mess of SU7 that it's costing them a lot more time to fix than they initially thought perhaps.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I want Flybys and camera shake that's all. I will figure out the rest.

It's a known issue (probably more pronounced after SU5), that has nothing to do with the quality of your internet connection or rolling cache, etc. Glad you haven't noticed it, as it's very annoying. It's well documented at the official forums, on which I posted the same inquiry.

I'm not convinced the "bandwidth" message is a bug. I suspect it's more to do with server overload. I've encountered it only twice over several months, and I would guess that's because I happen to fly mostly at less busy times for player activity on the servers. If it were a bug in the simulator itself, I think it would occur consistently. This would make sense that it started happening with SU5, because that's when more users came on board, putting more strain on the servers. And I would take a guess that Microsoft provide the server infrastructure, so not something that Asobo can fix.

But this is, like many views, only speculation.

When will they be releasing the hotfix for SU7?  I know it's available as a beta right now, but if it's soon I might just wait to download it.

I am quite sure Robert must be word not allowed, its first appearance on a new market result in having his product removed for a couple of month due to issues, not the best introduction...

Why do people who bought this aircraft get special treatment with respect to refunds, compared to any of the other 3rd party aircraft that have been broken for months at a time due to Asobo's incompetence?

PMDG has decided to refund its customers from a shop owned and managed by Microsoft XBox division. What Asobo has anything to do here ?

I thought it was Microsoft refunding them? That’s how I read it Over at fselite.

No, it is Microsoft doing the refunds, not PMDG. The reason the XBox version of the DC-6 does not work is due to something wrong with the XBox version of MSFS, not to anything wrong with the DC-6 itself. It is up to Microsoft/Asobo to fix the problem, and apparently it might take “months”.

MS does the refund because MS is the seller ! Do you think that MS will let PMDG  keep the proceedings of their share of the sales which are refunded by MS ?

Since the incompatibility of the DC-6 on XBox is due to something wrong with the base sim, not anything PMDG did wrong, the answer is “yes”. PMDG should not have to return any revenues they have made up to this point from XBox sales. There is a contractual “failure to perform” on Microsoft’s part.

Chances are that PMDG has not yet received any revenue from XBox sales in any case. The DC-6 was only available on the Marketplace for a short time before it was pulled.

You can't get refunds for other aircraft you purchase with a simple ZenDesk ticket, even when other aircraft have been broken for months due to changes to the base sim.

I don't like the idea that one policy applies to one item purchased on tbe Marketplace and a different policy applies to everyone else.

Yes true, I wonder though there has been a lot of plane releases and I'm sure many more down the pipe over Christmas and if these requiring fixes themselves are hijacking and stalling this 'hotfix' being released.
