December 12, 20214 yr The verdict on the terrain masks seems to be mixed, to say the least, as per the other thread linked above.
December 12, 20214 yr I was using the brown mask for a while with 40% opacity and recently tried the grey mask with 40% opacity as well but saw some really strange textures on a flight from KLAX to KSFO (A32NX) along the coast. Removed it completely and did a flight today on the east coast and realized what an overall difference the mask made as everything is back to being way too green. I just installed the brown mask again. Overall, I never really saw any texture glitches with it and I've been using it since it came out....California was the first time seeing the odd tile popping and textures. I'm not sure but the other day I was flying at dusk and saw large square scenery tiles darkening one at a time and I had never seen that before that I recall. It made me wonder if that was a side effect of the mask used.
