We do not decide what people do with their lives and devs are not employees hired to work on this project. - Devs can work on whatever they want for whatever reason they want. Telling people to drop what they are doing and work on something else will cause most to just leave. - Not everyone has the knowledge / expertise required to work on everything **you** want prioritized. In fact, forcing people not familiar with the area of work to start contributing to that certain feature can even slow down things. As one of the devs on the FMS, we spent months researching IRL software design to implement things like VNAV. Explaining all this to other devs would only delay things. So: Devs leave, less features get worked on, and VNAV doesn't progress more or maybe even goes slower. Everybody loses. Hello - i recognise your profile from the FMS branch of the FBW discord channel where I’ve been admiring your progress. Can I ask whether eventually you will implement DME ARC TO FIX (AF) leg type? PMDG have never done it properly at least so far as I am aware so i always assumed it was too challenging for the limits of the sim - but looking at the incredibly intricate trigonometry you have pulled off so far, I wonder if this leg type is now within reach? best, tim Edited December 14, 20214 yr by tfm 14900ks, RTX4090, 64Gb@6000-30-36-36-T2, Samsung 990Pro 2Tb , Dell G3223Q 32" 4k Gsync + 27" secondary monitor. We value high-quality, polished releases over frequent and quickly-released ones, which means some features might take time to land in a publicly-available build. Rest assured that our developers and contributors are working hard on making every FlyByWire project as bug-free and feature-complete as possible, but that we are not able to provide release dates or estimates for a certain feature/fix. Regarding the VNAV discussion: it has become kind of a meme by now. I smile everytime I see "VNAV when?". Maybe we should think about never releasing it... (duck and cover) 😂 I was asking about the ETA for the original announcement you made, not the VNAV useless discussion 😄 but thank you for the reply Marques Ryzen 7 [email protected] | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360| RTX 4070 ti | 32GB Ram @5600MHZ| Crucial MX 200 M.2 500GB |Crucial MX200 SATA 500GB | HTC Vive | XIAOMI 43" 4k TV | Acer Predator 27" G-Sync | AOC 32" Freesync

Do we really need to kill more Forest than we presently are? 🙂 To be absolutely fair, IIRC a lot of (all?) paper comes from tree farms, or designated area's where we plant trees specifically for the purpose of being cut down, and because these trees are often rapidly grown and younger, they actually sequester a lot more greenhouse gases than regular forests of far larger sizes. (They also don't return these gases back to the atmosphere due to rot or forest fires) Fun read if you're bored: https://www.fs.fed.us/rm/pubs_other/rmrs_2011_mckinley_d001.pdf Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. December 14, 20214 yr Sounds like a justification for forest destruction. 😉 With today's digital media, why print on paper. Sounds archaic. Is that not the purpose of the cockpit EFB? Edited December 14, 20214 yr by Adrian123

Is that not the purpose of the cockpit EFB? There are easy solutions for this problem: Either you buy recycled paper only or even better: you use old sheets of paper with the backside page being blank to print your OFPs or METARs on it 😉😉 I needed to buy fresh white copy paper like ten years ago for the last time and I've used old letters or documents from studying, which were printed mostly on just one side, since then.

December 14, 20214 yr Good thing is paper is the highest recycled material at 70% of 46 MILLION tons of waste. But that still leaves 13 MILLION tons going into landfills. US only! Edited December 14, 20214 yr by Adrian123

Hi, yes, we are planning to do AF legs in an upcoming update. The difficult part is the turn prediction into and out of the leg, but we plan to do some work on that. Developer - FlyByWire Simulations
