Kodiak new Update Friday

Just purchased tonight loaded up MSFS and the new patch and bingo Kodiak isn't able to be flown yet it isn't patched I guess. So haven't even tried it yet. Is this going to be the way for MSFS with every new patch? If so it makes buying 3rd party add-ons not fun.

Nothing wrong with the Kodiak, flew it four hours yesterday, not one problem, even the reverse thrust is fixed. You say it isn't capable of flying, and you haven't tried it yet???????

The Kodiak certainly works with the new sim update. So if you would explain the problem you are having with the Kodiak in a little more detail I expect some of the Kodiak users here will be able to help you get the Kodiak flying.

That is not what I said at all, you obviously edited it before posting? You posted something that surfcandy posted, hours ago, and acted like I said it.

Here is what he said, not me...

Are you on DX12 by any chance?  I've flying the Kodiak exclusively the past 3 weeks including last night after the latest patch without a single issue.

Windows 11 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Asus Prime Z690 | i7 12700KF HT | DeepCool LS520 SE | MSI 5070 Ti Ventus OC | 64GB G.Skill XMP II | Lian Li 216 LANCOOL RGB | TrackIr v5 | Honeycomb Alfa - Bravo - Charlie | MSFS 2024 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Curved 27" MSI | JBL Quantum 810

Kodiak will not run in DX12. Only DX11.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

The new Reverse thrust saved my bacon today on an approach to TFFJ runway 10. Just over the trees on the approach end, and not much room to stop before taking a swim in the Atlantic. . Hit reverse thrust and stopped with 100 feet to spare.

One thing that bugs me is that Honeywell Hour Meter is reset to zero every flight, any news on that?

I thought I was responding directly to surfcandy, but apparently quoted your quote of surfcandy instead. My mistake, sorry.

Both counters will zero out intermittently. They are aware of that an supposed to fix it eventually.

Yeah thanks, I did finally figure out (purchased last night) that the problem I was having when attempting to fly or even loading the Kodiak was being caused by me using DX12 beta in MSFS configuration options. I saw it mentioned on the SimWorks website.

Can anyone fly the Kodiak using DX12?

You can't use DX12 with the DC6 either,

I have not had time to fly for a while and have not bought it yet, so I wonder what is the normal cruise speed of Kodiak?

System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

About 165 kts True Airspeed.
