Yes, from outside it looks a bit nose-down but maybe that's how it flies? I don't get what you're saying about the instruments, they looked centred?

What I am saying that attitude indicator shows negative pitch and so it the way airplane flies by looking outside ( in straight and level attitude). I don't think that reflect real life especially considering video on youtube with modern PFD that showing positive pitch 1-2 degrees in level flight

Great, I downloaded and it is now 1.0.2 in CM.

Sounds are greatly improved I must say. Though I always keep volume down, too many hrs listening to engines drone.

Also the feather now works. I will try feather shut down engine in flight tomorrow, but on the ground it works and sounds good to me anyway.

Flew an AP APPR ILS with lots of power changes and dropping flaps 3 steps and the GS was maintained perfectly, localizer too.

So looks very good to me and a very quick update I must say. Nice it only took 2 days even at the in game store after AS put out the update.

This is really a great model, these days the Kodiak, H145 and Twinn Otter are my 3 favs.

agreed, much better than before. just enroute Olbia to Split and flies great, just noticed that the sound "transition" when panning left / right may be smoother until sound from left/right engine kicks in, may only become better once the new soundset is made available which AS ordered

The sounds are noticeably worse imo. It is nice to fly though.....the sound set however is ruining the experience for me. Hopefully the new sound set isn't too far way.

Is there now a SECOND update available? If so I am most gratified they are listening and responding. Please confirm?

I think it's just the update on the Market Place we had a few days ago.

Yes it is the same update. MS had a question regarding time zones or something, this delayed the release a day and a half according to MK.

Also this was just posted on the AS forum:

Just wanted to make sure everybody understands that we are not happy with the current sound set.  A lot has been tweaked but we are simply running into the limitations of the recordings we had. Of course we also checked out all the options suggested here but all of them come with massive new problems (mainly the fact a lot of the sounds are then never used at all).

So we simply need a new sound recording and have send recording equipment to a very friendly Twin Otter pilot who can do new recordings and will hire the Twin Otter for the time that that takes. We are sure that will solve the issues we have. We will also make sure the new sound set matches the expectations of customers, rather than Twin Otter pilots better.  So it will not as loud as in the real cockpit and all the other sounds will be made softer to blend into that. You will be able to use it without the headphone mode (most people seem to dislike that option) and still be able to talk to ATC, something that is simply impossible in a real Twin Otter.

Now how did I get into this pickle? Well basically it is the same old story. A release date was set and with the arrangements with external shops, Microsoft, marketing, sales a date like that is seriously hard to change. Aerosoft is the third largest game publisher in Germany and with size come spreadsheets and serious planning.  A release without support from Marketing is impossible and they move from project to project. Same for the people who run the shops etc.

And for sure we knew we had issues with sounds. The preview videos all told that that was work in progress. But we honestly believe we could sort things out before release. Every change however caused a new issue, we had strongly conflicting comments between real pilots and non pilot testers and time progressed. Because almost all attention was focused on that and not enough focused on some other things that still needed to be tested.  As our internal quality control department is now fully staffed I expect those things to be sorted out from now btw.

I'll keep you informed about the new sounds (we asked the people who will do it to make a very small video of how they do the recording).

I’m glad to see that response and way forward for the sounds, it’s refreshing.

It  is a bit confusing yes.

In the MS store it is called 1.0.2 same as 1.0.1 everywhere else.

The original release was 1.0.1 in the MS store.

I think MS wanted a small change not needed in the other stores.

At this point there is only one update.

They were certainly working on the initial release as i used them during a flight over Canada on release day. In external view i noticed ice build up on the leading edges of both wings, switched on the de-icing, and it went. So i don't know, maybe the update messed something up?

Any confirmation on this?

I have not been flying in icing conditions with the Twin Otter since the update. but surely others have.

Do note that it comes after days of stating users are wrong and sounds are fine 😂. The refreshing part is that for once MK admits they are wrong.
