Hmmm...which version of P3D you're using.

I got it, and it crashes with P3Dv5.2. If I start on active runway, it will load. If I start at parking, it crashes without a whimper. I have emailed the dev. Can't recommend it at this point. In the meantime, there's a nice little Penang--no installer, but at eight bucks the price is certainly right for a bit of head-scratching. And it doesn't crash. Decent little Phuket too on the cheap. Singapore would be nice, but nothing as far as I know.

5.3 with all the hot fixes...

Haven't been able to complete a flight yet.  Tried WSSS-VTBS and VTBS - WSSS.  Very disappointing indeed......never had the older version.  Can't complete a flight.

It definitely crashes for me too.
Are they sorting this? Seems very strange to release a scenery with this major a bug...

AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo
64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance
32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

I got a nice reply from the dev. Evidently, the photoreal scenery is the problem. He said to turn off all those files until he figures out how to incorporate them into P3D. I'll give a try tomorrow, but if anyone beats me to it, let us know how it works out..

I would have thought that a beta test would have highlighted a problem like this before release?

Do try and keep up,  we haven't been properly beta testing in this community for years.  People dont complain and accept poor quality, so the developers churn out poor quality.  It's not rocket science this.

Beta test? Lol...good one.

Is there a way to turn off the photoreal scenery so that it works?

Yes. Go to the scenery folder for the airport and locate a group of 12 .bgl files starting with "PhotoDetail" and change the extension to .bak or just cut them and tuck them away in a safe place like I did. That allows the airport to be used without crashing..

Customers don’t know if a product has been beta tested when they buy. All they have to go off are screenshots and blurb for the product. They trust SimMarket. And if you’re an early buyer there aren’t any reviews to help you.

Then the developer is contacted and has identified the problem and is working on a fix. Whether it’s poor quality is subjective. It may look great and of course the price has to be taken into consideration.

Seems like a genuine mistake which is now being corrected. The developer has an incentive to fix it as it won’t be available to customers until it is.
