No Photogrammetry using google tile data ?

Featured Replies

SInce the update I have no photogrammetirc cities unless I use bing data. Thought it might be just Australia, but Tokyo is the same. Looks like they've bundled the data such that you miss out on photo data if you bypass the bing server and use the google tiles.

Same issue here. I tried Bing (new) and there was no photogrammetry. It looks like WU7 broke it somehow.

same here  .... and I don't use the google data, just the Bing data

I get photogrammetry data using bing but not Google so not a bing issue. Wonder whether they've intentionally bjorked up the use of google data ?

That would be a shame as whilst I'm using Bing most of the time, it's interesting to see how the world looks in Google too.  There are pros and cons to using Google, but It's very good in some areas.

This photogrammetry issue is now being reported on Flightsim.to in the comments section for the tool download.  Apparently the latest version of the tool has another option to use an alternative bing maps server with more recent data than currently used by MFS2020. I can't verify this as I am still using an older version.

I tried the alternative Bing server yesterday and couldn't get any photogrammetry to show with it. I'll try again today to see if I get different results.

There is a new version (3.2.2) ready for download that should fix the issue

Experimenting with the limits of MS flight sims is as old as the sim itself. Although I dont use this mod (tried it and didnt feel for it) I think there is nothing wrong with it.

I'm not sure what your problem is - and why so offensive. The Replacer is a perfectly good (and useful) tool - along with hundreds of others that either enhance MSFS or plug the gaps.

Avsim is a good place to discuss it, IMHO.

Why are some people using 'conflicting software' like PF3 or Pilot2ATC and coming here for help? What about AIG or Simple Traffic? All of these programs alter the base sim to improve the experience, and this tool is no different.
