February 7, 20224 yr With Aeroplane Heaven's release of their p3d catalogue, thought I'd try the very nice C-140, but when you take off, the pilots disappear. Tried taking off without clicking on the button to make them appear beforehand, thinking that when I click it when its airborne - they will appear then, but no, they just seem to want to show themselves when the wheels are touching the ground. Anybody any ideas on how to solve this problem?🤔
February 7, 20224 yr I have the same problem. I contacted AH and was told: everything is in the manual. I have not found a solution.
February 7, 20224 yr I purchased that model the day it was released, and have had the AWOL pilots the entire time. I love the plane, but it's hangered. I've never found a solution - and yours is the first mention I've ever found that I wasn't alone with the problem! 🙂
February 7, 20224 yr Author Thanks for those interesting comments.😖 Puzzles me how they thought it was ok to put it on sale with that - such plain fault, the developers must have seen the pilots missing once it took off......maybe they didn't care?
February 7, 20224 yr Don't let Trevor Jacob fly your C-140 Edited February 7, 20224 yr by pinepix62 Johan Pienaar
February 7, 20224 yr Try this......works great in P3D4.5. Manual in Documentation in AC directory. Setting up for a flight. There are a couple of optional extrasthat come with your Cessna 140. There’s a setof chocks and tie-downs which are toggledon and off using the knob (16). Pilots aretoggled on and off using the large centralpiano key switch (24). If you are flying inP3DV4.4 and up, you can configure yourundercarriage to have wheel spats. All youneed to do is click on the undercarriage strutin the outside view

February 8, 20224 yr Just a pic to show I'm in the air and have pilots. That said... I hacked into the model a bit to see what was going on and yeah there seems to be a code logic error in the vis code of the pilots as it all seems to be based around (A:SIM on GROUND, bool) so the minute you're airborne the pilots vanish, Cheers Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. February 8, 20224 yr Still not as bad as this plane, most of the interior view is missing, happens to be one of the Ctrl-Ezy ones, definately won't be installing any of those again. Pity... it was interesting till I looked around the VC. February 8, 20224 yr Thanks god they concentrate only on MSFS now.....😉 I downloaded 3 of their planes and only kept the C-140, and even this one has the pilots-bug. Regards Edited February 8, 20224 yr by Whenmaker

February 8, 20224 yr Author The yellow floatplane will appear with the occupants on board, started off at one of the Seattle seaplane bases. Tried selecting the landplane version of it while in flight, but p3d did a CTD.😔
